The food at this restaurant was okay coming from the standard bar. Majority of the items were fried, and a combo of crab and shrimp. I can't eat shrimp from allergies, however they had a few other options. The crab Rangoon could've been softer, and fresher. The fried chicken strips had good chicken inside, but the outside fried shell was a little firmer to get into. The catfish was okay, it could've been cooked a little longer, and it had a medium watery texture to it, and I felt it couldn't be fully enjoyed bc of the texture. The reverse was that the fruits were much more fresh and had a mixture of watermelon, grapes, oranges, cantaloupe, and such.
The Mongolian grill was the much better choice to go with at this restaurant. They had a mixture of premium cut chicken, beef, pork, and a variety of herbs and vegetables to make your specialized dish. I enjoyed this part very much and was the saving specialty at the restaurant. The server staff was nice and came back to ask if everything was alright, and would be prompt to take my plated away. However, I had to remind him to bring me water, but it was okay 😊 The inside is very clean, beautiful arrangement, and quiet and clean. The staff and the cooks on the grill were very pleasant and had great attitudes, and they were very accommodating to what I needed and to make sure I was protected from allergies, ad well as cooking the food as I needed. They did exceptional.
They just been open a few weeks, so this review can definitely improve in near future I hope. I'm praying they will improve the kinks that come with a new restaurant and learn the flavors of foods, as well as make improvements with what they need to. Many people don't know about them yet either, so they advertisement will increase...
Read moreProbably the cleanest restaurant in Raleigh and the freshest Mongolian grill ingredients I have ever seen anywhere. They have a hot bar and a limited selection of cakes and prepackaged ice creams included in the price. Cons? The sauce selection is uninspiring and weak. Sauces such as garlic water and cooking wine are not flavor sensations. They really need to ditch every sauce up there. Sit down with a list of flavorful traditional sauce selections and go off the charts with it. In addition other than sesame seeds there are no individual spices available. Again, they really need to provide a selection of spices even if it means ditching the hot bar. The service. The front end staff are nice and seat promptly. The cooks do a great job with what they have. It’s the waitstaff that is sorely deficient, Twice I had to ask a hostess and a server cleaning up if I could get a drink. Come on guys this is mostly a self-service restaurant and if you are not going to have wait staff checking on drinks and customer needs just make it all self-service. This really needs work. I am rating it four stars but it could easily easily be a 5+ with just a couple of additions and a total revamp of their...
Read moreDon't believe all these fake reviews! #1 - The place is very old, they didn't remodel from the previous restaurant. #2 - Zero food selection, one tiny bar of food. #3 - Disgusting food, horrible quality. #4 - The grill where they make your food is a joke, they provide frozen thin shaved pieces of meat everything is bland and tasteless. #5- The guys who make your food with large sticks walk around with the sticks without care, one of the guys touched the sticks to the ground, and then touched one of the serving ladies with his sticks on her back/butt area as a joke. #6- I felt sick after eating and the next day.
This place might be good as a low quality/cheap place to eat if that is your thing all you can afford, but based on the reviews I went to this place with very high expectations that is why I am leaving a bad review. If the reviews were real like 2-3 stars I wouldn't have gone and wasted my time. I highly doubt this place will last, I tried to provide a local business with my business since it was their " grand opening " but this is not how you do it. Shame on you guys, disgrace...
