I’ve frequented Guasaca for more than 5 years. I usually go to the Lake Bone location, sometimes the morrisville location..this was my first time at the Spring Forest location. And let me tell you, the customer service was worse than horrible…the employees were more interested in getting you out the way, rather than ensuring you have a decent experience. I make a modification all the time due to an allergy that both the other locations honor with ease. But this location, No…even asking the question of “can you make the salmon without chimichurri” caused the employee to immediately respond harshly and throw her title around stating “she was the general manager and that we don’t do that here”. I very calmly responded and said well I’ve been coming to Guasaca for years and the other two locations make the accommodation without question. Instead of even listening I was immediately brushed off and told again “well this is how it’s made, we don’t do that here”. I would just like to say that if you work in a service industry…at the very minimum you should be able to deal with customers. I don’t think this women should be interfacing with people and I will NEVER return to this location and may never eat Guasaca again. Speak to someone the way you wish to spoken to, it’s truthfully that simple. My experience certainly isn’t coming through holistically through text but her tone was extremely rude, condescending, and dismissive. I would’ve been okay with her telling me she didn’t want to make the accommodation without the added extra rudeness, but that one simple question sent her into a tizzy. So again, I’d recommend to all my Guasaca lovers to choose the other two locations over this one. The employees here, don’t care to make you’re food with basic care, have a hard time answering basic questions and certainly don’t make any accommodations for allergies or for any reason. 0/10...
Read moreUpdate: Guasaca reached out and I have since tried them again and it was very good, at lake Boone trail. I will have to give another try to the new location soon. I love the Guasaca at lake boone trail, i go there often. We ordered from this location via doordash tonight, two bowls and an arepa. They must have been busy because it took an hour, literally 1 hour, to finish our food. Order confirmation email at 4:34, order arrived at 6:03. Its no more than 20 minutes drive away. I can live with that though. My wife ate some of her bowl and immediately asked me to try hers. I noticed a strange smell from the white rice. It had an almost chemical smell, or sour. I’m not sure if something was wrong with it, and it was still cooked, or what. It almost tasted like the rice was washed in soap. Or the container used for cooking had soap still in it. Either way ill probably stick to lake boone trail location. Im scared to...
Read moreUpdate: Customer relations reached out and was very nice. Explained they are working on making sure everyone is aware the guacamole is included with vegetarian. Again, I’d just emphasize to make sure you watch they put everything in your order, or check take-out before you leave.
Ordered 2 build your own vegetarian arepas. Asked the initial server if guasaca was included and he said yes. Ordered my 3 toppings. When I got home my arepas had 3 toppings, no guasaca. Called the store they said with build your own you have to ask as an extra. But in looking up the menu from others photos it clearly says vegetarian build your own has guasaca included. It makes sense it should be included if you’re not getting a meat, as it’s similarly priced. Waste of time driving there and now overpaid for less as the whole point was we were craving the guacamole. Just check what they put...
