Synopsis: Has everything you need from a Chinese spot for prices that are comparable with other Chinese restaurants.
Handy Kitchen is one of my frequent spots for Chinese food. I typically get the General Tso's Chicken from the dinner menu. For $12.95 you get a container of nearly all chicken with some broccoli mixed in and a box of rice on the side. The fact that the whole container is nothing, but chicken alone makes it worth it. Couple that with the price and it would be worth checking out if you have not yet been.
The quality of the food is superb as well. Although I don't explore the menu, I can speak for the quality of the General Tso's as it is by far my favorite meal to get at a Chinese restaurant. My friend ended up getting Vegetarian Lo Mein and was thrilled with the quality of it. I definitely cannot recommend this place enough!

Read moreWe had a horrible experience today. Grabbed lunch for our family and my 9 year old son was eating the chicken lo mein and felt something weird in his mouth. He spit it out and it was a metal wire!!!! I see that we are not the first ones to have this experience!! I'm a nurse and this is SO dangerous and unacceptable. If that piece had been smaller or my son younger, he could have swallowed it and done a lot of damage. I went back and showed the lady what we had found and she attempted to only refund me $10 for the lo mein but I explained to her that we were all so disgusted that nobody ate their meals and she finally refunded me $32. I explained to her how dangerous this was and that they need to be really careful and change the way they are cleaning the pans. She just nodded and looked like she wanted me to leave. We will never be back and want to...
Read moreCalled on a Friday night for some spring rolls and vegetable lo mein. Lady on the phone said there's a minimum delivery amount of $15, and I was only at $11. So I add a $4 bean curd vegetable soup, and the total somehow comes to $17.50. I guess on top of the minimum delivery amount there's also a delivery fee? Didn't see any of this on the website, by the way. Get a call two minutes later saying I'm sorry but the delivery minimum is actually $20 and I was three dollars short. "Seriously?" I said. "$3? I'm two miles away!" Lady on the phone said I will ask the manager. Well, wouldn't you know it, the manager said no. A $20 minimum delivery charge is absolutely absurd, I'm only one man! The $3 the manager was so worried about has now cost them probably hundreds in repeat business. Would have given one star, but at least the lady on the...
