Mega Pizza & catering — Restaurant in Raleigh

I have ordered take out from this establishment on a few occasions. The last time I ordered from this location, one of the items I ordered, was french fries. When I picked up the order, the french fries actually had ketchup packets enclosed on top of the cooked french fries.

Even though, I was highly annoyed at how unsanitary this was, I didn't say anything and took the order and threw the french fries out when I got home.

Today, on August 24, 2025, at approximately 4:45pm, I arrived to pick up my new order (which included french fries).

I arrived and took all the items from the same gentleman who had served me previously (Male/Black).

I walked out to my vehicle and inspected the food and as previously, they placed the ketchup packets directly on top of the cooked french fries.

When I went back inside to discuss this issue with the same gentleman at the counter (Male/Black). He informed me that, that was their customary practice to place the ketchup packets directly on top of the cooked french fries. He stated, If I wanted it otherwise, I would have to request it that way beforehand.

We debated this issue back and forth for minutes and I find it hard to grasp why I had to explain to someone in food service why this is unsanitary and a risk to public health.

Please address this issue ASAP!

I also requested a refund for the cost of the fries, which isn't so much of an issue but, I want a refund to make sure the safety issue...

Wanted to try a new pizza place while still supporting local (ESP during this time!!) and we came across Mega Pizza. We ordered online through their website and it was very simple. The decision of what pizza to get was easy as they were currently offering a Large Cheese Pizza for $7! I thought this was a great deal as we normally only get cheese pizza. We also added on an order of 6 garlic knots. The only downfall for the garlic knots were their size. On an instagram post they were tagged in, was a photo of large garlic knots and not going to this place yet, this is the size I was looking for (comparing to that photo). It wasn't their photo so maybe it was tagged at the wrong place so no complains to MEGA PIZZA!

The cheese pizza was seriously SO good. Very filling and the crust was done perfectly. There was a slight bit of confusion when picking up the food and they seemed to not have gotten the online order so it took a little extra time to get the order. However, this place really hits the spot! Order online and check out their specials that they are offering. Really...

This really bothers me to rate Mega Pizza so low. However, we've been ordering from them for almost three years. Tonight showed me how much they've changed. On the way home I ordered a pizza and cheezy bread. Was told 45 min to an hour, I said OK. That was at 5:30. 7 I called inquiring what's going on. Was told driver dropped the pizza and they're making another. That bothered me because I feel they should have called to let me know. At that time my partner asked for 2 subs. Asked how much that would push back the pizza and they said it wouldn't and the driver should be there in 25 min. At 8 another call told me the driver would be here very soon. He was however the food was cold! There wasn't any reason for the food to be cold! Don't think I'll order out...
