After MANY years passing since I've been to Hibernian, met friends for Sunday Dinner. Given the unfortunate combination of dining there the day AFTER the Raleigh St Patrick's Day Parade, and Restaurant Industry Issues. We probably shouldn't have expected much. Service was friendly, but very basic "What do you want to order" situation. Then after drinks and food were brought out, waiter disappeared. He didn't return until we were finished. We initially ordered cocktails and beer. When our food arrived, I was wanting to order another beverage with my meal. Wasn't gonna happen. I didn't even have a water. Speaking of drinks, unless you want beer, the specialty drink list is a limited sugary menu from a 90's college bar. I had to resort to whiskey and soda. Even the beer list was minimal when compared to many of other Bar/Restaurants in the triangle. Even other Irish Pubs. Most were not draft. The food was just ok, with exception of the generous portions, and the fries. They were great. The other fare is just kind of bland, and not memorable. Atmosphere, and ambiance is still probably the best thing going on here to me. The menu just makes It feel stuck in time. I get it's an Irish Pub, and not a gourmet restaurant. However, I feel like with all of the competition in the area, especially within the beer scene. The food should make me feel justified in returning to Hibernian. Unfortunately, not the case for me. Too many other great Irish Pubs, and bars in the area to rush back.

Overall experience this visit; great 👍👍🇮🇪 Visiting from out of town and wanted to try something new. I will definitely visit this location again. Now for some details... Customer service is always the first thing I notice with a business. From the time we entered and were seated until we left it was amazing. Our waitress was Darby and she did great in all aspects, I would hire her hands down. Cleanliness of dining areas and bathroom were fine meaning I didn’t see anything dirty. Food... my buddy ordered the Shepard’s Pie. He said it was good but not life changing. If you’re in the mood for one, definitely worth ordering. I ordered the Corned Beef & Cabbage. Now I substituted my taters for some Mac and Cheese ☺️ With the advice of my waitress, I tried it with some house buffalo sauce mixed in how she eats it. Not Irish but amazing if you’re a macaroni connoisseur. I highly recommend my plate. Philly Egg Rolls were great pub food for an appetizer. Nice kick with the cheese dip but I think they are over priced personally ($12 for two egg rolls). Guinness served in a room temperature glass. Only thing I can even think to recommend would be to spoon a shamrock for a proper pint if the bar isn’t busy. I legit would call in to try to reserve the chairs next to the fire place. Great little spot for four people to catch up.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟- sláinte🍻

So we hit this spot up because we were hungry and everything else was closed, or it seems and it was pretty cool. I wouldn't have chosen to come here but I'm glad we did. The look of the building is very much giving Irish pub and the food did too. Husband ordered the Old fashion and I had the mango passion fruit mojito and both were very good. Nice and fruity just like I asked. He ordered the wings, ghost pepper and honey buffalo with a side of bear battered onion rings and I got the bacon and Bleu burger with garlic mashed potatoes. So husband enjoyed his food and thought the onion rings were the best however I did not agree. The piece I got had to much batter and not enough onion for me but they were hot and fresh. My mashed potatoes were garlicky but I didn't care for them. I wish they were hotter but I probably should've ordered a different veggie but my burger was okay. I wish they would've added a little seasoning or more seasoning to the meat but the presentation was good. Our waitress was amazing. She was a bartender, waitress, hostess... she did it all and was wonderful. I would be willing to try this spot again if we're in the area so y'all try it too.

Good, casual dining.

It's one of the best bar/restaurants you'll find anywhere with a large, creative and varied menu, but the food is not as good as most "posh casual" dining places.

Had a Hanley burger (named for the owner) which included a raw, sliced jalapeno pepper, fried egg and pepper jack cheese. Also, had a cup of Irish stew and two beers.

We were there about a week after they opened and they were experiencing some logistical problems. Wait time for a table when we arrived at 8pm on a Thursday was about ninety minutes. (Same wait time when we returned two weeks after they opened). Fortunately, we saw some folks leaving the bar, so we bellied-up and ordered our food.

On a quick tour of the pub, I noticed several tables "closed" to patrons. A hostess explained that they just couldn't fill all the seats right now for fear of over-burdening the kitchen. Smart move.

So, when our food arrived within about ten minutes, we were pleasantly surprised.

Fish sliders were great: not too much bun.

Hanley burger was fantastic, served on a tasty brioche roll. Love the house-made beef grind: a 60/40 mix of chuck and brisket.

Corned beef and cabbage was too salty. You'd expect the beef to be salty, but the cabbage should be less so.

The eating utensils are over-the-top beautiful. Not what you see at most pubs (or restaurants). However, they didn't quite mesh with the image set by paper napkins, but perhaps they will switch to linens once they get settled in.

About $35 per person for app, one entree item and one drink (gratuity not included).

Allow about 45 minutes (no apps, no dessert) NOT including wait time...

It's a Sunday and we just returned from a visit to the North Raleigh Hibernian Irish Pub & Restaurant. Given the crowds we observe overflowing the restaurant on a Saturday night, we expected a very "special" experience. But alas, we won't be going back anytime soon!!!

I had, by far, the worst corned beef and cabbage I ever ate at any restaurant, and believe me I've had this meal all over the east coast. The meal had absolutely no flavor. At first, I thought the corned beek was actually roast beef in disguise as it was brown in color and appeared to have been in the freezer since St. Patrick's day. The cabbage, or whatever it was, was crunchy but had none of the traditional cabbage flavor. The parsley cream sauce was bland ... and the meal was barely warm. There was no bread or Irish soda bread offered. At $14 for the plate, the meal was definitely overpriced. The best part of the meal was the side Caesar Salad.

My dining partner selected the Chicken and Chips. Like the corned beef, the chicken lacked any detectable flavor. The "chips" were cold and soggy and should have been discarded about 30 minutes before we arrived. We couldn't discern the catsup from the BBQ sauce that accompanied the meal.

The decor was OK. We sat in a booth, but the table and benches rocked on the uneven flooring. Being concerned that my dining partner's glass of wine was going to tip, we tried to touch the table as minimally as possible.

On the bright side, the service was very prompt. We were in and out...
