Had a bad day and just wanted to get out and relax with my girlfriend. Hadn't eaten here in about three years or so due to the same issue I had yesterday. Just trying to get a beef burrito with some lettuce and tomatoes and a side of refried beans and Spanish rice. Seems like a standard request right? They basically charge me extra for what I believe is their 10 inch burrito just add beans and rice. Instead of getting the burrito that we were talking about on the menu, I was given the smallest burrito they make and charged $2.50 for a side of lettuce and tomatoes. The food is ok, the prices are high and my jumbo Margarita was week. I would be surprised if they actually added more tequila than the small margarita. Tasted very watered-down. Not real happy with the attitude of any of the staff. There are much better places in the area that are more accommodating to dish customizations without charging an extraordinary amount. Will not be eating here again. So many other places to choose from that are much better food, customer service and prices. Sorry guys, I attempted to try your place again but your restaurant failed. By the way my girlfriend got the diced pork dish special and she spent more time cutting off the fat. We ended up swapping plates. One of the employees was just outright rude. I think the space they lease would be better used for another restaurant or anything else than what's...
Read moreWe used to frequent Los Tres Vaqueros quite a bit pre-Covid. The food was always good and service was fast and friendly. We have ordered takeout twice since Covid and the first time, it was seamless and the order was perfect. The last time, it was not good at all. I ordered and my husband and I drove up to pick up the order. My husband went in and was asked to leave because he didn’t have a mask (and admittedly he likely didn’t act very kindly over that) and I was not dressed appropriately to go in, but they said they’d bring the meal out. Ok. So they bring out the food and we drive home. We get home and find that one of our meals (my husbands meal!) wasn’t in the bag so I call the restaurant. The woman who answered was incredibly rude, and she was insistent that my husband “must have done something with it” because she knew she put the meal in there. Well, it wasn’t in there and she refused to stop accusing my husband of “doing something with the food”. Now I understand she probably didn’t care for his annoyance about the mask, and I think he is ridiculous about that myself, but it seems to me she intentionally left the meal out as retribution. ChowNow was also no help in getting us a refund, so Los Tres Vaqueros has gotten the last dime from us,...
Read moreI’ve been going to Los Tres Vaqueros since it was Los Tres Magueyes. Unfortunately i can’t say it is the same as it once was. The prices have almost tripled, and as of today, i won’t go back. After spending almost $60 for 2 meals last week, my son wanted to eat there again today. I decided to stop & physically place our to-go order at the restaurant.
I got the same 2 meals we received last week. However today when we received our food, my son’s order was made incorrectly, and mine was not worth the price— the amount of food was considerably less than the value. We also ordered queso & the container was less than half filled.
I noticed that for 5:30 on a Friday, they weren’t busy at all, which tells me that this place has gone downhill, or the inconsistency and higher prices with smaller portions has affected former patrons of this once INCREDIBLE restaurant. I’ll drive the extra 10 minutes to El Rodeo, i will...
