My wife and I were going to be in town since she was having an MRI done late in the day. She talked of having IHOP all day before the scan so we agreed that's where we'd dine for diner (we both wanted pancakes). We arrived Weds night at 8pm; the parking lot contained 1 other car. Inside, there was a family of 4, a waitperson, the manager and I assume a cook. That's it--7 total people. I ordered ham & cheese omelette with 2 link sausages which came with 3 pancakes. My wife had 2 scrambled, 2 pieces of bacon and 3 pancakes. There was one takeout order ahead of us. 18 minutes later our food arrived--which was fine; we don't mind waiting for good food. However, good food did not arrive! We got room temperature eggs; pancakes that didn't melt the butter we applied to each piece; (as I lifted my middle pancake to apply the butter the pancake split in half, top to bottom); a half-full pot of coffee with 6 tiny creamer cups; and 2 small, cold pieces of bacon. She forgot my link sausages and went to the kitchen to retrieve them. They came back slightly thicker, but much shorter, than a #2 pencil and appeared to have been cooked 3 days earlier. Total, with tip, $40--YES! $40!! Not once did the waitperson ask how the food once--so I'm telling her now--IT STUNK! IHOP used to our place to go for good breakfast food and excellent pancakes--and they still might be! But not this Six Forks location. They should be ashamed of serving this schlock. We'll never return. 1 star for a pleasant enough waitperson, 1 star since we didn't throw up dinner...
Read moreSo we walk in and notice that the restaurant wasn't too busy(this is important later). The hostess brings us to a dirty table that wasn't cleaned veru well and there was water all on the table and seats and there was a toddler chair at it. The tables next to us were perfectly clean so I was confused why she sat us at that one but it wasn't that big of a deal and she said the waitress will be right with you. However, we weren't given menus (despite the waitress already seeing that we didn't) and had to wait about 5 minutes till she came again and asked for our orders. We told her that we never got menus and she brought them to us. We order and everything's fine, it takes a little longer than we expected for our food to come despite it not being busy but we aren't blaming her for that. When the food finally does come we noticed that we never even got our silverware to eat with. While addressing all these issues she used kind words but gave us a slight attitude in the process. We ask for our check and she brings by the plate that we put our cards on and it takes 11 minutes (we timed) until she had already passed our table twice. At that point we're were very upset with the customer service despite my friend having great customer service a day beforehand. At least the food was good.
The waitresses name was Jasani L and we were very disappointed with the lack of decency...
Read moreI just left this IHOP like 5 minutes ago. The waitress we had was rude, like racists rude. I let the first comment slide at the begining. (I guess cause we was black she assume we wanted only water cause its free) , well I'll take water cause I'm pregnant and I need it and my husband will take a hot chocolate. SMH. But that is not what put the icing on the cake. So my husband walk to front to tell her to give me the check and some take out boxes, cause he had to go outside to smoke (cause of course he can not smoke around me so he get his breaks when he can) , well she brings the check and the boxes and as I'm putting our food in the boxes she is just standing right above me, so I looked up and she was like," can I get your card or whatever you paying with you so I can make sure I cash you out". Hmm excuse me. Every IHOP I have every been to , you usually walk to the counter and pay , as I had just seen a white couple due when we first got there. Me been an Army veteran, I couldn't believe how this lady was acting. I will never every go back to this IHOP. For the record ma'am. I have 2 Masters and was in the Army for 16 years. I do not need to walkout without...
