I regret that my husband and I went out yesterday during the pandemic for subpar food and to be treated poorly. Our company has been getting weekly catering from Jason’s and I thought the food was good, so I thought we should check them out in person. Nope. Nope nope nope. I wish we hadn’t wasted our time. Everyone there was incredibly rude, disinterested in doing even the simplest of tasks, and in an over all bad mood. The cashier was especially rude, being impatient with us ordering even though it was our first time ordering in the restaurant, and loudly tapping on the register/slamming his hand down for punctuation. When the mask is covering up most of your face, maybe you should make more of an effort to not roll your eyes at your customers? So then we walked by the open salad bar (one trip salad bar...but still...incredibly weird to have open during a pandemic!) and sat ourselves down to wait for our food after a woman from the kitchen cut me off and sped off to care for something on the bar. Our food was served to us and I was given one dirty spoon with food still on it to eat both my tomato soup and macaroni and cheese with. I had to get up and go ask for a spoon and a fork. I had half a roast beef sandwich. The roast beef was good, even though the sandwich was all over the plate. My husband’s fountain drink cost more than my macaroni and cheese (overpriced much?), and the Mac n cheese was, basically, Kraft Mac n cheese. Worse than Kraft. At least Kraft doesn’t have a cardboard aftertaste. I wish we had gone to McAlister’s Deli and gotten theirs instead - At least they don’t just get a pack of dried cheese product and mix it into some noodles! My husband’s sandwich was also pathetic looking. I don’t understand what I’ve been reading in their advertising about generously packed sandwiches. My tomato soup was room temperature. The atmosphere was just incredibly uncomfortable. I’m going to tell my company that we need to change where we get our weekly catering from - I don’t trust what might be going on in the...
Read moreMy husband ordered the potato soup because he hasn't been feeling well and a baked potato for me. When he got home the potato was fine but the cup of soup was broccoli cheddar. He brought it back to the store and told them the mistake. They were out of potato soup. They said they tried to call but no answer, this from a young lady with green hair. This was not true since I was home and the phone did not ring and there is no missed call. From what I understand this all turned into a argument with one person saying they are just a cook, it's not her fault they don't have items. The manager came over, Cleveland Bethea (or close to it) and told my husband he needed to respect the woman working there. Even though they weren't showing my husband any respect. The manager at some point told my husband he would clock out and he could take it out to the parking lot and settle it. Needless to say other customers that were eating in heard the whole thing. There was another guy working there trying to defuse the argument. This guy finally said he would remove the charges from our account. As my husband was leaving the manager and the woman were laughing about it. This all because of a cup of soup!!! You have lost a couple customers, we usually order something once a week sometimes twice. The days of respect for the customer and the older adults are a thing...
Read moreIf you have ever been to Jason's then you know how delicious a deli can really be. If you've never been here before the get closer to your screen cause I got a secret to tell but I'm only telling you ok? 4R!
Jason has lost his mind! Nobody in this place understands portion control! If you are not lumberjack hungry then go ahead and ask for a To go box when you place your order. You are gonna need it. If in the other hand you could eat a horse, well don't sit in any of the booths. You are gonna need the expansion room.
I know what you're thinking. Sure you could opp for the salad bar and save the stuffing for Thanksgiving turkey right? WRONG!! The salad bar is HUGH! At least 20 items to choose from. And I can already tell that you are gonna choose most of them simply because you can! Warning!!!! Don't get the apple slices on the bar. Don't do it. Not even one. These thing are so dang good they will mess you up. You will get caught trying to snuggle the dish they are in.
The only thing I found bad about Jason's is the fact that for some reason they will not let you stay after closing hours. Oh, they also won't let you get your soft-serve...
