I am a picky eater but that’s not why I have a difficult time choosing what to eat here. The duck melts in your mouth but I was in a burger mood tonight. This burger has so many flavors that blend together perfectly: roasted garlic aioli (they should bottle this, it’s that good), beer cheese, house-made pickles (you can’t get a pickle this good from any store), and crispy onions all piled on a Union Special brioche run. My husband enjoyed his beer flight and the cocktails were delicious.

Micah was our server and he did a terrific job of checking in with us on how our food tasted and if we needed anything. He and Robert helped me with choosing an entree (check out their menu and you’ll understand why it’s a difficult choice). We were a party of 5 and we all got different entrees. The atmosphere is relaxed but upbeat at the same time and we were enjoying our conversation and laughter…but our table was silent once the food came. Everyone loved their food.

My husband and I decided to split a dessert of banana bread bread pudding. I’ve never liked bread pudding but based on Robert’s description, it sounded amazing. It. Was. Amazing. Again, multiple flavors blended perfectly!

• Extremely talented and creative chef • Friendly and attentive staff that seem to never stop moving • Delicious food and drinks • Awesome atmosphere • Indoor and Outdoor seating (patio is dog-friendly. There is even a water bowl. (Service dogs allowed indoors) • Covid cautious - according to Facebook all staff have been vaccinated and they all wear masks. They have masks for you if you don’t.have one (because Wake County has a mask mandate) at the host stand where you can also scan a QR code to pull up the menu. • I can’t wait to go back for homemade...

We walked in with high expectations, but the experience was completely disappointing.

As our food was being served, the runner casually said, “We don’t have the pasta for the kids’ meal.” That kind of information should be communicated well before the food comes out—not when everyone else is already being served. Leaving a child without a meal while the rest of the table eats is unacceptable. What made it worse was the complete lack of accountability. No apology. No effort to correct the issue. Just silence. That’s unprofessional and shows poor judgment on both the manager’s and server’s part.

Then came the bill. We were charged for kids’ drinks and extra sauces that we never ordered. The kids’ menu made no mention of drink prices, yet when I raised the issue, the waiter simply said, “We always charge $3 for a kids’ cup,” with zero explanation or effort to clarify. Again—no apology, no transparency, and no attempt to make it right.

On top of the poor service, the food itself was nothing special. I ordered the burger, and it was by far the worst burger I’ve ever had. The meat was completely unseasoned, tough, and had an overpoweringly gamy taste. It was also served to my cold.

From start to finish, this experience was a letdown. Between the poor communication, unprofessional service, inaccurate billing, lack of accountability, and terrible food, I won’t be returning—and I wouldn’t recommend this...

I just want to start this by saying our waiter was incredible. He was literally the only part of this experience we enjoyed. My wife and I have been here a few times now and everytime have loved every second. We decided to invite two new people because we’ve always had great food. Myself and another person ordered steaks medium rare. They came out and we’re overcooked so we asked for two more and thought nothing of it. We got our replacement steaks and they were not cooked at all. Honestly very close to being steak tartar. We decided not to say anything after not eating the majority of it and ten minutes goes by and the chef walks over to our table with two plates with steak on them. He interrupts us and puts on on the spot by saying “I want to know what’s wrong with these steaks” first off, the steak he brought over was not even one that we sent back. Secondly, why on earth would somebody even come over when we were not unhappy with what happened. He made us feel so uncomfortable and so awkward. Our waiter even had no idea what had happened. We would have come back to this establishment if this didn’t happen. People have off days, I get that. I’m a small business owner myself but to belittle and make your patrons feel like they have no idea at what a steak is completely unacceptable. We will never spend another dime in this place. It...

When I walked in, there were 4 tables with folks, and no one at the bar @130 on a Sunday afternoon. Beautiful sky and a nice cool Sunday. New to the area I figured I’d try this place out It was only 15 minutes from my house. When I walked in I sat at the bar I asked how the bloody Mary’s were and he said they were great cause he made them. I said I’d like to have one and I do like a little extra horseradish. He brought me out the bloody Mary and you could see it was a little watery. No not vodka ‘y’. I asked him if he could suggest something for brunch. He said the crabcake Benedict was the special and he likes the crabcake, but I wasn’t into crabcake so I just ordered the eggs Benedict, again as you can see from my plate a very small plate. By the way wasn’t anything special, very little hollandaise sauce, I did expect the black forest ham because it was stated on the menu, but I would’ve expected the home fries to be a little bit more crispy considering they at least have a grill. Not!!!! So in summary, let me just tell you, I wouldn’t waste the ink to write home about this place And considering where they are on the backside of five points I guess they do get a lot of walk-ins, but I wouldn’t take the trip and drive down there. There are a lot better places between here and there.

Finally made it into the Brassiere to try Raleigh Magazine’s #1 Burger in Raleigh! But first things first… We walked in for brunch, just after they opened and didn’t have a problem getting a table for 2. The inside was not full when we left a little after noon but it was getting there. Inside has a pleasant clean industrial vibe, servers are friendly and attentive. The menu is not extensive so if you’re looking for food I recommend checking the menu before you go to make sure you can find something you like. The Tropical IPA was great and I had a cocktail and it was good. Watermelon salad with nicely dressed cool and refreshing. The onion dip and chips was a swing and a miss for both my wife and I. The chips were kinda soggy and the onion dip was just…meh not any better than grocery store dip. And finally the burger was delicious. I would not put it at number one in Raleigh but it is certainly a top tier burger. Meaty and juicy at 1/2 a pound. It comes with a generous serving of fries. It’s well seasoned on a grilled bun topped with a delicious house made garlic aïoli, crispy fried onions, and house made pickles. Overall the Brassiere was a great experience and I will certainly recommend it and try to get back in again.
