Stellar — Restaurant in Raleigh

My son and I visited this restaurant today. We were seated right away upon arrival. The atmosphere is flexible and can accommodate various types of occasions.

The staff was friendly, professional, and hospitable. Our server, Ava, made us feel welcomed and did a good job tending to our needs.

For our drinks, we ordered the Rum Ritual Cocktail, the Raventos Blanc Cava Rosé, and the Coastal Red Cream. All drinks were flavorful. The Rum Ritual was sweet and refreshing. It made me feel like I was laying on a hammock on the beach. My son said the Rosé was on the sweeter bolder end while the Coastal Red Cream tasted similar to the soda.

We had Calamari Fritti as an appetizer. The texture was perfect. It was not tough nor too chewy and was moist. There was a nice crisp on first bite. The taste was nice but could’ve been a little more flavorful.

The prosciutto adds a great texture to the gnocchi and brings a great flavor to the Asiago Gnocchi dish. The burrata cheese was a great addition. This dish had a nice kick to it.

The Romesco Chicken dish was a big hit. The multitude of flavors in your mouth at the same time enhanced this dish. The chicken had a nice texture which balanced well with the zucchini.

Both entrees were presented well and plated beautifully. The food was also seasoned to perfection, and the portions were just right.

I will definitely visit...

What a wonderful experience tonight! We chose Stellar based on a recent article about new restaurants in Raleigh, and it did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in until the time we left, it was a treat. The staff was outstanding—friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable.

While waiting at the bar for our party, I overheard the staff discussing a new menu item and asked about it. To my surprise, the chef brought out a sample just because I asked—and it was incredible. Honey-glazed fried cauliflower… what a treat!

Once seated, the service was spot on, and the shareables were delightful. The tuna was fresh and perfect, and the calamari was cooked to perfection. The entrées were even better—the gnocchi was outstanding, the burger may have been the best I’ve ever had, and the steak was cooked flawlessly.

Let me just say everything about this place was literally STELLAR! Im visiting from San Diego, CA where the dining options are vast and delicious. Also, I travel 9 month out the year and always look for amazing non-chain restaurants to support. My husband and I are visiting and took a chance on this place. That being said, Stellar's service, atmosphere, and FOOD are amazing. I had the chicken and waffles and my husband had the breakfast burger with an egg. This is the first restaurant ever to have cooked an overmedium egg EXACTLY the way it is supposed to be done. The chicken was tender and beyond flavorful. So my advice, Raleigh, take the chance on Stellar. You will not regret it and you will want to go...
