The last time I went to a North Carolina State Women’s Basketball game (11/15/23). I went next door to the student center to this Port City Java location to get an Iced Latte with sugar-free vanilla. It was not anything like what I am used to getting at the Port City Java locations in Wilmington. It had a very bitter/burnt taste. Hopefully, this was a one-off because I usually really love their coffee.

Everytime I visit Wilmington Port City Java is the first place I stop. I always get a large Mocha Shake and split it with my husband. My yellow lab really appreciated the nice lady giving him a pupachino.

My new favorite coffee shop. Sure wish there were more locations. Their Iced Mochas are quite tasty and not as sweet as other chains.

I've only been to the one in Talley. I ordered a small hot chocolate and they charged me something outrageous like $10. I sat around for 30 minutes because I didn't hear them call my name. I didn't hear them shout anything at all, even though I was really close to the counter. They had a lot of GrubHub orders, but I was the only person waiting around for my drink so I was surprised they didn't try to get my attention and tell me my drink was ready. Finally I got up and went to look at the GrubHub orders to check that my drink wasn't there. I didn't want to interrupt the two people working behind the counter since they were busy making a lot of orders, so I waited around (in front of the register, not the GrubHub waiting spot) hoping they would ask me what I needed when they got a break. They didn't, so I got their attention and asked politely about my drink. They said it was probably on the counter and pointed to the far side of the register around the corner where there was a counter I hadn't even seen, which I didn't know to go to since it was my first time. So I finally got my drink and left and it was hands down the worst hot chocolate I've ever had in my life. I felt bad but I couldn't even finish it it was so gross. I know these employees are overworked and underpaid, but the service and quality is just really bad. I'd love to support a smaller chain, but you'll have a much better time at the Starbucks ...

I came in around 925am. I walked to counter.and was asked did I have a GrubHub order. I said no. I was rudely told that I needed to download the GrubHub App to reduce face time. But what did I want. I left. This is not the way to greet customers. I work to hard for my money to give it to people who do not know how to talk even civilly to customers. This indicates that I would have received over priced luke warm not fresily made coffee and a stale danish. No thank there are too many coffee and breakfast places to go. In this is was my McDonald's with fresh hot big breakfast and hot coffee. Starbucks would be a superior choice over your place....

I waited for 35 minutes to get my food and coffee. I ordered 2 simple items, and after about 20 minutes of waiting, my coffee was prepared but was the wrong coffee, and after another 15 minutes I had to go back and remind them that my order had not been fulfilled. The manager acted as if I had been trying to get a free sandwich when in reality my order must have been lost somehow. I saw people who ordered before and after me have their order fulfilled; I was clearly the only person still waiting on something, but the 5 people working at the time neglected to see if I...
