Free food for me! To qualify, you have to receive a lucky order of cole slaw that has a 1cm piece of the cole slaw machine in it, bite it, and then go request the refund at the counter. I'd leave five stars still if that's all that happened. I think the manager on duty right now is a great kid. I'm sure he earned his promotion and he's doing great work! He has the same problem most of us do in this spot, the ability to think outside of the box. I'm sure the owner would have said "appease this customer at all cost!" However, in addition to the obviously deserved refund, I requested a fresh side of cole slaw. He said he could either give me a full refund OR give me a side of cole slaw, but not both. I said, well my order had a knurled metal hunk in it with inner threads to screw onto something. I am a mechanical engineer and I know that knurling makes something grippy. He said the piece was sanitary and even if I was given a side of cole slaw, it would be from the same batch as the order I received (hahaha).

My desire is for the owner or a more senior supervisor sees this review and addresses it. Don't fire the kid, don't do anything, just train him up on crazy scenarios like this. He should have known it would be okay with the owner to throw out all of that cole slaw and make a new batch. The threads inside of that screw piece left a metallic greasy taste in my mouth. It contaminated the batch.

If you guys will use this as a teachable moment and kindly reply to me, I'll bump it to 5 stars. The food is great, always. Love some...

The customer service matches the quality of the food- subpar!

We went when they opened at 10am. The gray, short haired woman was annoyed someone didn’t show up for work. She was apparently letting that ruin her whole day. She never said thank you or you’re welcome to me once and barely spoke.

There was a woman with black hair pulled into a ponytail that was “walking on eggshells” around the other woman. She was pleasant, but was disgruntled that she spilled the hot sauce for filling up all the mini cups.

I ordered two meals for $32! When I asked for 5 plates, cups and forks there was awkward silence and looks between the employees. A man in the back line with a tie on said, “ma’am. You ordered two meals, but you want stuff for 5 people ?”. I told him, “Nevermind. It’ll be fine.” But what I wanted to say is, “yeah, I have 3 kids in the car and a husband. It’s 10am, we’re 10 hours from home and we just want to sample your food.

But! Don’t worry! We won’t be back!

Although the chicken tenders were tasty …that’s where the decency ended. The potato salad and coleslaw were disgusting. The bbq sauce tastes like Chinese sweet and sour sauce. The baked beans were stringy and mushy. The hush puppies tasted like funnel cakes. The banana pudding was ridiculously artificially flavored. The gallon jug of sweet tea wasn’t even cold.

This place is next door to Bojangles....

Will never go here again. I ordered a bbq plate and the woman who took my order followed me to a corner table with my order. The table needed to be wiped down. I looked at the table next to me and it needed wiping down too. I asked the woman to please wipe the table and she went right back to the drive thru window ignoring my request. When I caught her eye she sneered a comment to the other female behind the counter with her that I wanted to have the table wiped down. With obvious disgust this woman says loudly “why doesn’t he take another table”. I asked for a rag to wipe down the table myself which prompted the second woman to begrudgingly come to wipe the table all the while complaining that I should understand they were short handed. There were only two customers in the store at this time by the way. I said I should certainly expect a clean table to eat on. It appeared to me the only table cleaning going on is left up to the exiting customers. Keep your food, excuses and most of all the hostile attitudes displayed by your employees. If this is the best you can get I would close the store This occurred at 11:30 am on August 5 2022 in case you try to pinpoint who these women were.

Hardee’s is just as close and I’m always treated...
