First the good. The food was pretty good as far as Taco Bell goes. It was all obviously freshly made and they weren't skimpy with the meats like some locations are (teaspoon of ground beef in a taco). The remodeled location looks quite nice and it's very clean.
Now the bad. It was SO SLOW. I have no idea what was going on, but the workers seemed but be bustlling around and doing a lot...yet it seemed no orders were actually being given to anyone in the restaurant. When we arrived we placed a second very small, very easy, order, thinking it would be no problem since there were only a couple of other people there at the time and maybe 2 people in the drivethru.
WRONG! People kept piling up in the dining room, not a single person with food to actually eat. There were 10 groups of people waiting at one point, plus whomever was outside waiting in the drive thru.
Some appeared to be door dash folks as they hovered around the pickup spot & kept looking at their phones. Yet nothing was appearing for ANYONE inside the building. Several of them left without ever picking up food, one assumes they just gave up.
It took us at least 20 minutes of waiting (in addition to our drive time) for us to actually get our first order, and I'm sure it only happened that quickly because someone (presumably a manager/owner) can in the restaurant in plain clothes and started fussing at people in the back & showing them what needed to be done. Even then we had to ask for the cups for our drinks because they didn't give them to us.
For our second order, we kept waiting, and waiting, and waiting. I don't even know for how long, maybe 10-15 more minutes? Could have been more. Finally, we ended up trying to get their attention to just get a refund before the rest of our food was gross. The lady (not the manger person) told my husband "first order in first order out" and he had to repeat himself that he just wanted a refund at this point. So all that was a few more minutes.
SO much time wasted on "fast" food. It was tasty, but I could have gotten and eaten a better tacos & burritos at a regular "sit down" restaurant in the time it took to just pick up these stupid...
Read moreTonight was a horrible night at this restaurant. As I was coming here to get food for myself and someone else. I did not think I had received all of the food. No, I don’t know the menu by heart, nor do I work here. As I was expressing that I believe I didn’t get everything, the young employee was being told to tell me everything was in the bag. Again I was getting another part of the meal for someone else and just wanted to reassure I had everything, as they had asked for an extra item and it honestly didn’t look like we had it in the bag. At this point I asked for the manager as time is being waisted both ways. She then expressed to me in an insulting manner that I was wrong and in fact the order was correct. It doesn’t take long to say. Hey, I understand you may not know but this is what come with your order. Take the time to educate your customers. Instead of insulting them to make yourself feel better. To top off the experience when we got back with the food and began to open it up to eat, the specification of meat we asked for on our meal was completely wrong. When you want something a certain way you just want it that way, especially if it’s your favorite. Unfortunately, we didn’t get that or good customer service. Really...
Read moreThis is our go-to Taco Bell. I think I've rated this establishment before, but everything they do has been top-notch. The food is excellently and quickly prepared, it's really delicious, and we can't be more pleased with the service.
The only nit I have, and its two-fold, is the drink stations. Like most fast food restaurants, this Taco Bell has all-you-can-drink fountain drinks. Most of the time, the drinks are bubbly, delicious, and perfectly balanced between syrup and the carbonated water. Every so often, the drink is flat, and the balance is lost. The other thing is cleanliness of the drink station. It really needs more attention because, unfortunately, customers don't seem to care about the mess they make when they pour themselves drink, and it leaves an unsightly mess for those of us who follow.
But let's not let that get in the way of an outstanding meal. They used to have a Taco Box, which included a 5-layer burrito, a hard-shelled taco, a soft-shelled taco with broken up taco chips inside making a crunch taco, and cinnamon twists for $5(!). What a great deal. What I learned from this is that I really like a 5-layer burrito.
I now order the Taco Supreme and they prepare it perfectly.
Can't ask for...
