Tenko Japan — Restaurant in Raleigh

I love the food at this place but the service is below satisfactory. I called in to place a take out order as I was at my hairstylist salon on Newton Rd suggested getting take out. When I called to place my order, the person that picked up was beyond rude. I called at 9:10pm. The lady/girl advised said to me, "do you realize we close at 9:30pm", I replied "Yes, Im aware". Then she continued by saying "well you do realize that we close in 15 min" I replied that I was ok. The lady then followed to say very rudely, well I want you to make sure your here by 9:30pm. I said to her if my food was going to be ready by the time I got there. She said yes! I arrive there and the person that has suggested it to was there, a guy who I assume is her BF and myself. She made it very clear in our interchange that even though she didn't give me a number I was suppose to assume that the gentlemen was not a customer when she called my number as she never mentioned it. Her service was subpar. She clearly doesn't care about the business so long it doesn't interfere with her time. She's rude on the phone and in person. I visit the tenko of creedmoor by Edwards mill and very dissatisfied and disappointed by this lady's action. Please address the issue as you can loose clientele for such...

Son and I were visiting for a tennis tournament and visited for lunch between matches at RRC. Food was delicious (hibachi chicken x2). However, I was most impressed by the owner going out of his way to make sure the TV was on the station where the football game we wanted to watch was airing. Even after several attempts to let him know, it's fine, we're good, he insisted until he got the game on. If we were regulars, I could understand. But obviously we're not. Well done Tenko...

I always get the yummi chicken bowl and its delish! The people that work there are really friendly too. My husband and i went in one day and the cashier rung us up wrong overcharging us. We stepped outside for the 15 minute wait and by the time we came back they had corrected our order and credited our card back. We were extremely impressed with their honesty. (Sad to be impressed by honesty but thats another story for another time). All in all Tenko is great...
