Las Carretas Mexican and Salvadorian Food — Restaurant in Rancho Cordova

It was 5:30 pm on Sunday, Labor day weekend and I was welcomed by a handsome gentleman eager and excited for me to take a good overlook of the menu and ask if I had any questions. There was no one in the restaurarant. But the place smelled delicious!!!

Our order: pork and cheese papusa, chicharones & fried yuca, carnitas chimichanga, alpastor super burito, and two Salvadoran empanadas vanilla & pinapple cream filled.

The bill was high because we ordered sooooo much food and gave a $5.00 even though we did to-go.

We are going back tonight... nit even one week later to make a larger order.

Hands down one of the tastiest Mexican food restaurants in all of Sacramento! Also a nice gateway into Salvadoran food with their delicious Pupusas! You will not be disappointed about the food portions, they load each plate up from edge to edge. Please visit, eat, taste and enjoy! You will not be disappointed in any of the dishes. I’m pregnant and was really wanting papusas that weren’t super far from me and this new spot is amazing I got the bean and cheese and the jalapeño and cheese papusas and let me just say they are amazing and so big I ordered 4 thinking they were going to be smaller like most places nope they were huge! I also never heard of salvadorian horchata and it is amazing ! I will be recommending this new restaurant to...
