Haven Haus Cafe Review: A Tale of Two Experiences Haven Haus Cafe in Rancho Cucamonga had me torn. On one hand, it was a trendy and inviting haven (pun intended!) with excellent service and a great location. Adriana, my server, was fantastic – attentive, friendly, and efficient. Even the price point felt just right. However, my Denver omelet experience was a major letdown, pulling the overall score down.
Let's start with the positives:
Location and Ambiance: Haven Haus boasts a prime spot and trendy decor. It's the perfect place to unwind and indulge in a laid-back brunch environment. Service: Adriana deserves a standing ovation! She was friendly, professional, and made sure my experience was a pleasant one. Beverages: The regular coffee was a delightful brew, and the mimosa options looked tempting (though I didn't indulge on this visit). Now, for the not-so-positives:
The Denver Omelet: This was the main event, and unfortunately, it fell flat. The bland, underseasoned biscuit gravy tasted like a simple flour roux with no depth of flavor. The biscuit itself was dry and crumbly, a poor complement to the rest. The Denver filling, with its tiny diced ham, onions, and peppers, felt more like an afterthought sprinkled on top rather than an integrated part of the omelet. It lacked the savory goodness I expect from this classic dish. Overall:
Haven Haus Cafe is a mixed bag. The friendly service, trendy ambiance, and decent coffee kept me afloat, but the disappointing Denver omelet brought the experience down considerably. I'd hesitate to recommend it based solely on that dish, but given the other positives, I suggest taking a chance and exploring other menu options. If you do, perhaps you'll have a different brunch experience than I did!
Recommendations:
Give other menu items a try! Perhaps the pancakes or avocado toast are brunch stars waiting to be discovered. If you go for the Denver omelet, be prepared for a potentially bland experience and request extra flavoring if needed. I hope this helps you craft...
Read moreMy sister told me about their coffee flights and I've been attempting to go so many times and have failed. But this time, I finally had a free weekend to go with my family and as soon as I walked inside, it was so beautiful and so nicely decorated, I was just busy taking pictures and videos everywhere. This was definitely my vibe and I immediately had a good feeling about this place. Of course I ordered the flights, first thing!!!! It's simple, just 4 different flavored lattes: Vanilla, Caramel, Hazelnut, and Mocha. Nothing complicated and definitely simple. Most places have a special drink that they mix or something in particular, but this was just straight and to the point. I loved all of them but my favorites were the vanilla and caramel. I also ordered the chorizo skillet. The waitress highly recommended it to me. I wasn't too fond of getting it because even though I love chorizo, I need to be in the mood for it cuz it can kind of seem heavy. Well, I should've stuck to my instincts cuz it made me full fast. Don't get me wrong, for those of you who love Chorizo, I would recommend it. It was very flavorful and they give a good amount. But I think my appetite was just craving for something else. Well, I'm not disappointed because honestly I would definitely come back here again, no doubt! Portions were plenty and the ambiance was just too gorgeous here.
Second Visit: I’ve been here before and was eager to go back! I knew it was good the first time so I was excited to go again. They offered the flights again and I naturally had to get it. It was the First class flight and all the options sounded yummy. I also decided to get something from their lunch menu this time and it was so yummy! I got the Haus burrito with steak and it was so good! Got here at a good time when it wasn’t too crowded but when we were finishing up, it definitely filled up! Can’t wait to come back!

Read moreRead on for the full story, but essentially I was never brought what I ordered even though I asked for it to be corrected multiple times. We asked about the quality of another dish and was told it was homemade when not. Don’t waste your time here.
Sat down and service seemed great. I was very excited since they serve soyrizo and I have been pescatarian for over 10 years. My friend was excited to try the corned beef hash, but specifically asked if it was homemade or bought premade. The server, Joe insisted it was completely homemade. We ordered the El Diablo omelet and the corned beef hash based on his statements, me substituting the chorizo for soyrizo. The food came out together, only it was very clear the hash was canned and not homemade. And the omelet I received was anything but what I ordered, as it had a mixed cheese blend on top with ham, bacon, and sausage inside. When I asked, Joe took it back to the kitchen and when he returned with the same omelet said it was the omelette with soyrizo added. I told him nowhere in the description of the El Diablo did it say there was any other meat, and as I don’t eat meat I can’t have what he brought me. He said he would have them make it with no meat. My food came out again and still didn’t look right so I asked the man who brought it out if this was the El Diablo with soyrizo and he replied it “was the omelet with soyrizo”. I ate some of it but there was no Diablo sauce or jalapeño so I gave up. Imagine my surprise when I received my bill and it showed the Denver omelet on my receipt. I repeatedly asked for the El Diablo and was given the entirely incorrect meal. My friend was equally unhappy with the corned beef hash as it tasted bland and quite obviously canned, even though we were told it was entirely homemade. Service was terrible, food wasn’t great, and overall the experience left me never...
