Del Taco — Restaurant in Rancho Santa Margarita

STARTED OUT WELL...UNTIL I GOT HOME AND OPENED THE BAG Ordered single crunchy taco and chix soft taco, med fries well done and a side of chix a la cart for my dog (who was in car with me)

When I got to wondow total was $11.xx. I asked what size the side chix was and they told me it was a white container and even showed an empty one to me (about 2-3 oz) for $1.49 each. Told them my girl was 90 lbs so I better order a 2nd side for her to have enough. new total $13.xx Pulled away from drive-thru with the best crispy fries that location has ever made so was excited about order.

Got home and beyond the fries, Order was disappointing at best and a lie at worst. Chix sides were in tiny black container about a 4th the size amd.one only partily filled (half the size of a ketchup pack (serious?!?) and the tacos weren't even 1/2 full. This makes sense when the tacos were $0.49 cents years ago, but not at a $1.99 each and the chix was less than a tablespoon each container. What a ripoff. Usually this location does ok, messes order up occasionally but quality of food and portions are normal so we overlook the occasional drive back to fix order or grab the forgotten saice or shake. This time it was disappointing to get all way home after taking the time to make sure I was getting what I needed.

Very disappointed . My recommendation is to make sure you take everything out of the bag and be sure it is what you ordered and before leaving the drive through. I overpaid this order by $4.50 by calculations. Sorry guys, I know food servive is tough but take pride in your work and no one should have issues with...

My wife and I stop to get some soft tacos for dinner, because it is just to hot to cook. We have been here before, and the chicken soft tacos are at best, luke warm. On this occasion, I had asked the cashier to please make sure the chicken was hot. Paid and sat down, they called our order number and we pick up the food and sat back down. My wife opened her taco and took a bite...cold. She went back to the counter and told them it was cold and they just looked at her. No one said a word, so my wife asked for a bag, and told them we will take it home and warm it up in our microwave. The fish tacos I had ordered which are usually so hot you have to wait for them to cool down were luke warm...almost room temperature. The only thing that was the way it should have been was the self serve soda...I got root beer. Don't think we will be back any time soon, however I am contemplating calling the health department. Luke warm fish, and cold chicken tacos at 5pm on a Wednesday night??? Surely not very well managed if at rush hour time you can't get hot food... Very...

So glad to have a DelTaco local. This place gets a lot of drive-thru service. A lot more popular than the old Burger King. Standard stuff, all you can drink sodas (Cherry Coke, yes!) and baskets of hot sauce convenient on tables. Get extra napkins if needed. Very clean and roomy inside, mens/womens bathrooms of the immediate left when you enter. I've been several times, but after recent price changes it's a bit out of my price range. TIP: There is an entrance directly off of Antonio but be careful because it crosses the drive-thru. TIP TIP: Exiting the drive-thru in my humble opinion it's best to make a left turn and double back if really needed. The common parking is laid out...
