Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Rancho Santa Margarita

I had never had a cheese steak sandwich. A few years ago, we went to one of the local places in RSM supposedly known for their Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches (to go unnamed). I was totally unimpressed and didn't understand what anyone saw in the sandwich. Figured I would stick with my long time favorite - the italian sub. Fast forward to one day last week, we went into a Jersey Mikes. I had one of my normal favorites, and my better half had the Philly Cheese Steak. She wasn't able to eat the whole thing, so I tried the last couple of bites. NOT what I remembered from my last Philly experience. So, today, I had a craving to try the Philly again. We went to the Jersey Mikes in RSM and ordered one. In a word - fantastic. The bread was excellent, the meet extremely flavorful and tender, the peppers and onions, just added to the fantastic taste. I think I now have another favorite sandwich - the Philly Cheese Steak from Jersey Mikes. Gotta give the staff at the RSM location some kudos also. Very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was nice and clean. WILL be returning - and highly recommend the Philly if you have never tried one. This place is a two thumbs...

Update: They always put mustard on the wrong sandwich. Each time now, I have to drive all the way back to have it remade as they drench it with mustard and my sandwich does not even come with mustard on it. Then the sandwich we do ask for yellow mustard...gets none. Boogles my mind. Puts mustard on the wrong sandwich and forgets to put mustard on the one which we requested. With gas prices now and having to drive back, just sucks and unfortunately, we won't be going back to this location. Pay attention to your orders and make them correctly. Please!

So excited to have a Jersey Mike's in town. Been driving to the JM's in Mission Viejo and Lake Forest for years. I ordered 4 sandwiches for pick up. Was very disappointed with the sizes of the sandwiches. The quality and taste was great but the amount of meat, cheese, lettuce..everything was so much less than I expect from Jerseys. 40 bucks for 4 tiny sandwiches. Hate to say it but it looked like a Subway sandwich but was more than double the cost of Subway. Will definitely try this location again. Hope it was a fluke. Again so happy to have you local but you need to step up your game if your going to charge 10...
