Scott's Donuts & Deli — Restaurant in Rancho Santa Margarita

This sweet little shop was recommended by a friend. I was having a meeting to get our office back on track and the breakfast and lunch items were "GREAT". I was quite surprised how this mom and pop shop was able to handle my large order as well as the number of people walking in the door. I have been there several times since, they have great service despite it being a family business. They do make mistakes some times not often, but who is perfect and with the number of people that enjoy the food they produce, it is surprising they are able to get out the number of orders they get as fast and accurately as they do. They may not be perfect all the time, but I eagerly go back to this little restaurant every time I am in Rancho Santa Margarita. For those who have to get their order corrected, be patient and recognize in todays times of questionable food , this restaurant is healthy I look forward to...

If I could give negative stars I would. I've been to this location for coffee and bagel sandwich twice. Both times I was rushed and pushed by the person taking my order. She literally said "come on, come on, what else?" Then got mad at me for asking for mayo after she had given me my sandwich. She said "give it here, you're taking too long, next time tell me when you placed your order." First of all I would have assumed it came with it and second of all I already paid for this sandwich the decency of you putting mayo on my sandwich so I can eat it the way I like is the least you could do. I work in hospitality and I'm not looking for grand high expectations but trust me when I say that you're probably better off going though a McDonald's drive thru then coming here. This place is indeed more than just donuts. The sandwiches are incredible! Fresh ingredients and fresh bread are the key, and they are made with care. Seems to always be pretty busy at lunch time, which is what made me go in there the first time. I wanted to see why the line was out the door. I ordered the Vietnamese BBQ pork sandwich, and the flavors are unreal. You can't really find a sandwich like this in RSM anywhere else. The other sandwiches look amazing as well, but I haven't been able to NOT get the BBQ sandwich as it is just too good. As a matter of fact, I am going to get one as soon as I finish this review! GO there and try the sandwiches. They are tasty and priced...
