A Delightful Lunch at Spikes: Fresh Flavors and Relaxing Ambiance After a morning of shopping at Lowe's, I popped into Spikes for lunch, and it was the perfect respite. I opted for the blackened salmon with a kale salad and brown rice, accompanied by a refreshing regular iced tea. The blackened salmon was cooked exactly to my liking – perfectly flaky and flavorful. What truly elevated the dish was the pesto sauce, which offered a delightful savory dip for the fish. The kale salad was a vibrant mix of fresh ingredients, bursting with the sweetness of cranberries, the crispness of red peppers, delicate carrot shavings, the nutty chew of quinoa, and a good crunch from the cabbage. Even the brown rice was notably fresh and well-prepared. Beyond the excellent food, Spikes offers a wonderfully clean and comfortable seating area with a truly peaceful ambiance. I’ve always loved the food. I’ve enjoyed Spikes for years. I visited a few weeks ago…? Not sure. This review is overdue, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention how great my experience was with Tyger. I was in a hurry, I feel like I needed special attention due to the very recent deaths of my mother and my mother-in-laws death this passed year. I didn’t say anything about that, but this young gentleman completely took care of me. He helped me order, he was kind, attentive, helpful, intuitive… I can’t say enough. He was most definitely the most accommodating and “go-to” young man I’ve encountered in recent years!! Again, he knew nothing of my circumstances. Stacey deserves a shout out as well. Hubby & I decided to take in a late lunch and try Spikes Fish House in RSM. The restaurant has a very good menu & they serve beer & wine too. The décor is inviting, very clean establishment, tasty food, & the employees are what made the experience FABULOUS! They were courteous, very attentive, & paid attention to the customers; making contact to see if you needed anything & offering to clear your table of used plates/utensils, etc. There have been times when we didn’t get this kind of service in some high-end restaurants!
