This was a fun find! A bit of an odd location for a restaurant, but Google helped us out. Met with a friendly face after walking in, he asked us where we'd like to sit, I told him "As far away from other people as possible" and he's like, "I gotcha" and indeed brought us into the back corner of the pool tables. It was perfect, although if people had been playing pool at that time it would have been loud and decidedly non-private, as well as hazardous, lol. I'm assuming they only use this seating for slow periods, otherwise reserving it for drinks only.
Our waitress (young girl, longer brown hair, t-shirt with ying-yang symbol on back) was super sweet, very attentive without being intrusive, and well-timed. She's a keeper! Our food was hot, drinks and appetizers came right away and food appropriately timed afterwards. Irish nachos were delicious, and stole the show! The only feedback on this dish was that we paid an extra $5 for beef on them (they normally don't come with any), and there wasn't much meat. Ground beef is $5/pound bulk, so even with a generous profit margin there should have been more, in our opinion. Otherwise it was great! My husband got a burger and I got mac'n' cheese. Both were good, standard pub style food. I actually liked that there wasn't a zillion things on the menu, made it easier to choose! We were going to be driving home right afterwards so we didn't order drinks, but looked like they had a good selection.
Atmosphere was friendly and casual. Some parts of the building had been recently upgraded, some needed some work, but overall a pretty clean, comfortable place. We loved that it felt "comfy", not snobby or pretentious. Thankful that the music wasn't really loud or inappropriate and we could talk and be heard easily. We would visit here again for sure to try some of the...

As a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America and a working chef, I take dining seriously—both in taste and in integrity. Unfortunately, my experience here fell short on both.
I ordered what was described as a ribeye steak with mashed potatoes and vegetables. What I was served, however, was not a ribeye. It was a pork chop—misidentified and misrepresented on the menu. To clarify: a pork ribeye, though sometimes used colloquially, is not a ribeye steak, nor is it the same as a standard pork chop. When I raised the issue, the chef doubled down rather than acknowledge the mistake, which was disappointing but not nearly as troubling as what came next.
Midway through my meal, I bit into what I initially thought was a bone shard—but it turned out to be a piece of plastic, resembling the tip of a bottle cap. That’s not just poor execution, that’s a serious kitchen oversight and a potential health hazard.
I quietly returned the plate to the kitchen, paid for the meal, and even left a generous tip out of respect for the service staff. But two strikes in one dish—misleading labeling and a piece of plastic in the food—is unacceptable at any level of dining.
If this restaurant wants to build trust with informed diners, I recommend a serious reassessment of their menu descriptions, ingredient handling, and above all, accountability in the kitchen. Until then, I’ll be taking my appetite—and my...
Read moreI stumbled upon this hidden gem while looking for a place to eat as I was passing through town. The restaurant itself has a fun juxtaposition of a quiet, elegant dining room when you first enter; and a lively, yet relaxed atmosphere when you make your way towards the bar area. Both seem great. First and foremost, the service was excellent. The staff were always on top of everything to ensure that my dining experience there was the best it could be. They happily answered any of my questions, and if they didn't know, they found out. The menu was limited, which I enjoyed. And I ended up going with the suggestion that my server made, which was the Salmon with a red pepper coulis, served with asparagus and mashed potatoes. The presentation of the dish was perfect. I was very impressed when it came out, but on my first bite I was a little disappointed by the fish. The salmon had a perfect crust, but was over salted. However, it was balanced out with the mashed potatoes and the coulis, which for me were the stars of the show. I ended the evening with a slice of pecan pie that was delicious. Not too sweet, and great with the ice cream. Overall, a wonderful experience and I would happily...
