We stopped by the Black Hills Bagels trailer on the morning of 9/11 while passing through town, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. My husband and I both ordered breakfast bagel sandwiches, and they were absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly satisfying. Easily a 10/10 on the food alone.
But what truly made the experience memorable was the woman who took our order. She was exceptional—genuinely kind, upbeat, and welcoming in a way that instantly brightened our morning. Her energy and warmth made us feel like more than just customers passing through. It’s rare to encounter that kind of hospitality, and it made all the difference.
