Manhattan Bagel Flemington — Restaurant in Raritan Township

Per my wife picking up - Staff completely rude. Refused to communicate why there was a 30minute delay in the order. When asked to speak with manager, the girl working said the cook was the manager. Then she said she was understaffed, despite seeing six staff working. While waiting, witnessed her saying to cook a different food order was given to wrong person. When food was finally ready, they threw it in bag instead of the customary boxes, highlighting the vastly different direction we've come to expect from past orders. And the avocado sucked. Complete fiasco. My wife returned home and reported above, so I called to speak with a manager. Man claiming to be manager said he'd refund order. No refund was given.

If you want actual homemade bagels, not Dunkin’ Donuts quality, go to Main Street or kettlemans. Spent $10 on a breakfast sandwich to receive two microwaved pieces of bacon, ONE egg that was slimy and tasted like dish soap, and to top it off my extra $2 hash brown that was less than half the size of the already pathetically small sandwich. Crazy of me to assume that a massive chain with a drive through would be anything above subpar. Support small businesses instead of gross corporate.

Re: Thanks for the reply Josh! However i never mentioned a microwave.. weird thing to bring up. Every franchise is independently owned, thats like me saying a McDonalds a small business.. im glad you make your bagels yourself! That means you can tweak the recipe to make them...

Don't expect to get what you ordered, been there 3 times, never received a correct order. They do what they want and expect you to accept that. After calling and complaining, the manager says I can come back and return it, why should I have to go back. They should rectify it and get the correct order delivered to me. Also the bagels are soft and mushy. Nothing like a true Manhattan bagel ( I grew up in n.y.) My advice isa to go to city bagel across the street, they have great bagels, a large tasty selection of fresh homemade salads and the couple that own it are so nice and friendly. I know I will never go to.manhattan...
