First the few positives. The place is clean (it's new), and they are open until 11pm - so good to have as a backup for late night emergencies if you have them.
Now the honest reality. Target overall has gone down the tubes - regardless of how new and shiny it is. The clothing is all garbage. As well as any housewares and kitchen stuff.
The staples they have (food) are acceptable, but I found their prices substantially higher than both other Targets (like Hackettstown) as well as other local food stores like Shoprite, ALDI, and Walmart.
The employees that worked there seemed zoned out. I give it a few more months until the store is in complete disarray like other Targets.
The whole experience feels "cheap" for lack of a better word. I feel like this entire store came out of a container ship straight from China. That cheap.
Marketing and slick presentation is not enough to win this customer over.
I'll repeat - this location is good for emergencies due to their late hours. That's about it. I doubt I'll ever go here again otherwise.
Prediction: based on the current economic trajectory - I say they're on the chopping block in 5 years or...

But for the YouTube videos and comments that violate rules those network administrators can turn...
Read moreWe recently visited the new Target in Flemington and had a somewhat mixed, but ultimately positive, experience. It's fantastic to finally have a Target in Hunterdon County; it's truly a welcome addition to the local shopping scene!
For an opening day, the store was remarkably well-organized, and the staff handled the crowds efficiently and courteously. The inclusion of a Starbucks inside is also a definite perk. Our main observation, however, was that this location feels considerably smaller than other surrounding Targets. As a result, it seemed like the inventory might be more limited compared to larger stores. Despite the size, we're genuinely pleased to have a Target close by and will certainly...
