I decided to give this restaurant one more try today to see if it improved under new ownership. Unfortunately very little has improved. I was told every item I wanted off the rather limited lunch menu was out including a normal side choice of potato salad. I was also rudley told he wasn't going to make any either, even though I didn't ask him to make it . I tried to be understanding with the male server who had very poor hygiene and struggled to clearly communicate. I had to settle for ordering multiple items I didn't really want. When he asked, I respectfully gave my preference for having my meat cooked well done and the same male staff rudely argued with me. (I've preferred my meat well done for 47 years so arguing with me isn't going to convince me to eat rare meat. ) The manager needs to require servers to learn customer service skills and also write down orders because they " couldn't remember me ordering ice tea" the first 3 times I requested it from two different servers. When my food finally came it was very messy to eat but there was no silverware at my table nor was it offered. I had to wait a long time for the server to pass by so I could finally get my silverware and reorder my ice tea that they forgot to deliver to the table. Despite the situation I tried to be kind and respectful. I'm not one to make scene in restaurants. My food was ok but as it wasn't what I really wanted to order, it's hard to give feedback on the flavor. The restaurant wasn't crowded , but still I observed most tables dealing with confusing/ poor service and waiting food far too long, as they had orders messed up, or had been completely forgotten. I could hear most of the customers complaining around me. I have alot of compassion and understanding if a restaurant is short staffed, but after my experience today I can honestly say the poor service provided at this location is far from ok. The limited choices of menu items actually available on site, and terrible dining experience are certainly not worth the high prices. I won't be returning and don't recommend anyone else visiting this location unless the owners completely fix the ongoing issues. Read moreThis place has tanked so far that if I could give 0 stars, I would. I've been a regular patron since they originally opened years ago. My visit tonight was a second visit in less than a week. Friday was an ok experience because our server was attentive but the food was greasy. Today there were 5 occupied tables in the whole place. We waited for 54 minutes for 2 appetizers and 1 special. 1 of the appetizers was wrong. The staff working we're absolutely horrible. Because she was non existent, when I went to talk with our server unfortunately she didn't care to listen but was dismissive and got real salty. At least she knew to just clear my ticket but blamed her lack of good service on the kitchen and must've misrepresented why to her co-workers because another waitress came over and threatened me...crazy. 2 of our plates sat in the window while kitchen staff rang the bell multiple times. It's sad to see that the restaurant is just a memory of better times and as a whole is so gross. The place is filthy including the restroom. Maybe fish friday is ok and that's if you can get it served in a timely manner. Some of the long time servers are great and really deserve better. The first time was a "Lewis & Ckark' that I was told was OVER cooked, so they made me another, unfortunately they didn't bother to replace the ff, which were COLD & a sliver of a tomato and barely on onion !
Today, 6/8 I thought I'd try again, I gad planned on the spaghetti, I mean how can that get fouled up, but I saw TWO orders if gorgeous fish, lightly crisply cooked and went fir the fish. There were ONLY TWO waitstaff and they were run off their feet. I wanted well over 45 minutes gor my order to even be prepared; asI was waiting for my order, a couple came in and had been waiting for some time, I asked them if they wanted a menu and took them a couple as well as cleaned off the table. When the waitstaff went to get their order they gad left!
I finally got my order, imagine my surprise when I got BROWN ALMOST BURNT FISH & NO Coleslaw, but no reduction in price. I'm sorry, but surely one of the kitchen staff could have helped out at the very least to bus the tables . I still gave the waitstaff a tip, because it wasn't their fault the way my gush was cooked, but the cook staff NEEDS TO KNOW HOW YO PREPARE ACCEPTABLE FOOD. IM PRETTY SURE I...
