Penny's Pit Gourmet Burgers (Rathdrum) — Restaurant in Rathdrum

Was excited to to try …..waitress was friendly .. was shocked when she came over and asked us to leave before even getting our meal .. because we came in and out of the restaurant and cause a commotion” to many times. Waitress yelled at me… It was nuts we treated her with respect asked her what her name was.. she asked ours.. it was like a light switch and I can’t believe how rude even random people eating came up and apologized.. mad because we changed our minds about eating there I’m the only reason we changed our mind about eating there is because Black Sabbath was playing loudly through the room and no one wanted to listen to that but I wouldn’t let them ask the establishment to change the radio. I’m not that type of Karen so we change our mind, decided to take it to go super simple. .. then they had no to go cups ..starts yelling at my mom and 9year old niece very sad this is acceptable behavior and then to have the owner respond and say we are liars shows why the waitress can get away with this whole thing.. wish you the best would never recommend to anyone thank you for editing your response and not calling me a liar. My family and I go here almost every two weeks. It is surprising how great the burgers here taste for being a hole in the wall so don't let the location turn you away as it is definitely worth a try. It's almost like they grow their own vegetables with how fresh everything is. The hamburgers are probably the best in the area with the perfect amount of grill but still juicy inside. The cheese they use is also really good with an awesome melting quality and the always fresh slightly toasted buns do not get soggy even though the hamburger is dripping. I can't believe it is almost a half a pound of meat since I usually get board of the taste from other places but I usually eat almost all of it from here; unfortunately, I get full. The customer service is great with very attentive waitresses that have a postive personality. The fountain soda, always fizzy, is the perfect amount of soda and syrup. They must clean the machine\nozzles constantly because the soda never tastes dirty. The whole place puts a lot of care into what they give customers. We were in there the other day and someone came in and said, "this is the best hamburger I have had in a long time". Penny's Pit Rathdrum was a good little place to eat. The burgers are large. They have a few different burgers to choose from. One burger comes with bacon jelly on it. This is not "jelly" at all. It is more of a bacon topping or very thick sauce or maybe even a chili without beans. Regardless, it is delicious. We asked for a side of bacon jelly and we were told no because they didn't have very much left and evidently there is an involved process in place for making more this jelly. So we couldn't have any even though we stayed until the place closed. Beyond that, it took about 20-25 min to receive our food. The food was hot and tasted very good. I ordered the James Dean which is a double bacon cheese burger with all the fixings and thousands island dressing on it. It came with a little pink in the middle. I didn't mind that. The sweet potatoe fries with the sauce on top are very good but a little spicy. I like spicy things. She had chicken and regular fries which was also good. The waitress was very kind over all. There are only 6 tables and a bar in the whole place so seating could be an issue. Having a conversation can be difficult when it's busy because it get very loud inside. Parking is limited to regular vehicles. No motorhome's...
