It's not the food's fault that the owner/workers aren't ethical with public health. (Makes me wonder how well the bathrooms and cooking area is cleaned. Likely not a sanitary place.)
While food may be good, the public health ethics of Zip's is poor. Numerous Zip's around the region, from Ritzville to Spokane Valley (WA enforces mask.mandate violations), have been fined for not following COVID public health guidelines -- as reported re entry in the news, week of Oct. 5, 2020.
Had I better understood Kootenai's mask mandate at the time, I would not have purchased food here. Even the cooks were maskless. Masks are most effective when asymptomatic workers in their 20s wear masks, and not just customers wear masks. ... Original review: My family stops at Zip's as a fun treat while returning from camping trips, usually getting milkshakes and buckets of fries and fry sauce. Huckleberry shakes in summer are good. Fries (crinkle cut) better than other fast food places.
This location didn't have workers wearing masks, which was a bit odd considering when I was inside Yoke's Fresh Market in Ponderay all staff there were wearing masks (and most of the other customers were, too).
Note: my family wore masks, ordered inside but ate outside. Drive-thru had long line and we had camping trailer...

When we got to the window I wanted to make sure they were kids cones as the price total didn’t reflect the 1.59 per cone. She said it’ll have to go in a cup because the ice cream was too soft for a cone. A little frustrated, I said okay. She then pulled the ice cream handle and it was so liquidy. Meanwhile, the gal in back cooking was drinking an energy drink and on her phone while cooking. I am sorry, but with everything going on in the world today, PLEASE wear gloves while handling ready to eat food! The ice cream gal filled a cone with liquid and shoved it in the cup; gloveless. We took the ice cream (no cone, has her take it out) and the cups were literally 1/4 full. I have never experienced anything like this. If the machine isn’t functioning just say so! I would have moved on. Don’t sacrifice quality. And please, always...
