#ElMagueyMexicanRestaurant was a great find after a very long drive. We found it close to our hotel. The restaurant happened to be busy, a good sign, but we were seated right away. The menu is substantial many choices to consider, but in the end The Restaurant had the Mexican dish I was craving. #PolloEnCrema chicken with a cream sauce. This one had something new, besides the mushrooms, green peppers and onions it had #broccoli yes, Not what you think as Mexican food ingredient, But it totally worked with the dish. They grill the veg and chicken which made the dish richer. The dish also came with Mexican rice, lettuce, and pico de gallo. I ordered a jumbo #margarita and enjoyed it very much. Buzzing. My husband ordered the #CaldoDePollo Chicken soup with chunks of chicken, rice, pico de gallo, tortillas. It was yummy. He enjoyed it and so did I. The soup was very comforting. In typical Mexican restaurant expectation the restaurant had complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were warm from being recently fried. The #salsa was mild but it allowed you to add heat from a bottle of #habaneroSauce I was so glad to find El Maguey Mexican Restaurant we found the place easily and they had great food and friendly service. I would visit again when in town....

The only reason I am giving them 2 stars is because the food was good at least. The service however is another story. The service absolutely sucked! Upon arriving we informed the man that seated us that it was my daughter's birthday. I asked him if they did anything for birthdays and he nodded and then sat us. Our waiter came to the table and never said a single word, he just stared at us waiting for us to order. During our entire time there, never once did anyone come to check on us to see how we were doing. Our water was served warm, the ice quickly melted, I had to chase down our server to get more ice. And then at the end, we sat there and waited and waited for our ticket and for my daughter to at least get a Happy Birthday but neither happened. We finally got up and walked to the counter to pay. Suddenly our waiter shows up with the bill, still not saying a single word. Very disappointing. We will not return to this place. I even informed the guy at the register that we were not pleased with service and he shrugged it off, took my money and...

I took my mother there for a mother and daughter lunch, we were literally driving by and saw this place so I said Mom let's try this place. It was a light crowd so we were seated quickly with good customer service, they started us off with chips and salsa which is always a plus I order a strawberry margarita and the small was pretty big. I ordered the San Jose which you get Three or four chicken enchiladas with beans and rice and when I say it was delicious it was flavorful My mom is vegan they had a nice section for her to order from she ordered the big burrito with bell peppes onions, mushrooms etc. which she loved. We were always checked on which is a plus, I must say those strawberry margarita's were good and hit the spot 😉. I would definitely come back for a...

I wouldn’t advise you ordering online from this restaurant. They can not read simple notes or allergens and when asked about it in the store. The employee states out the exact information listed in your notes. But when you get home, twenty minutes away you realized you have been lied to. Secondly tacos where extremely bland. Portions inside the store are bigger than any online purchase. I personally didn’t like the experience the first time I went inside to eat, due to everyone looking at me from the kitchen while I tried there food.

Been coming here for several years and just recently went after not having been for a while. Food was good- my quesadillas were crispy and not soggy like some places, and my Dad's enchiladas were tasty too. I ordered a side of rice and got a pretty good sized plate of it. The queso was kinda watery though. My mango margarita was good too. Service was guick and our server was really nice and attentive. Really my biggest quirk is the new seating! I loved the old seating/booths they had. The new ones aren't as comfortable or homey.
