It was very cold afternoon. I had craving for Chinese (in a non-canniballistic way). Thank goodness Mama China was a stone's throw away. Upon entering, I was greeted by one of the employees saying "Hello....how many?" I was currently out with my date and replied "Two please". We received our hand-crafted Styrofoam trays and began our quest to fill those trays their finest cuisines. We noticed that we were being followed by other employees or so we thought? My first guess was that they were making sure that my date wasn't adding more food than the Styrofoam trays could handle into her handle-less purse. But in reality, they were making their rounds and stirring each meal in a counter-clockwise motion. After a successful figure-8 through the delicious meals, we were ready to complete our purchase. I paid the woman behind the counter and was told "See you soon" as if I am a regular (which I am). I was mildly disappointed that we did not receive any fortune cookies with our meal which I truly rely on to get through my day. In conclusion, I shall return with an open mind and an empty stomach. The experience also helped with my date...
Read moreDine there very often. Food is always hot & delicious. But this afternoon I was sitting up front where the young ladies prepare & clean the green beans for the buffet. So today I noticed them separating & rolling up the forks & soup spoons. Silverware just had been washed but the young ladies had on NO GLOVES, & handling the silverware with their bare hands. So very unsanitary serving to the next set of customers. Next time I'll remember to bring my own plastic ware if dining in.
Another unfortunated evening, went to Mama China for late afternoon dinner. Ordered beef & broccoli, fried rice. Everything ok, & hot. Late that night/ August 28th, terrible cramping feelings within my stomach. Never had any food issues with Mama China, but this is a first. I've had food poison twice before from other food places. Mr. Goodcent & Church's Chicken. Had to miss a day of work because of terrible cramping pains in my stomach. Guess I'll be banning mama China off my list. Something wasn't right, either dirty utensils or Dirty Hands, somebody in the kitchen not washing their hands. Too bad, lost of a...
Read moreMoved to Raytown last year and we've tried the various Chinese food places at least three times each. Today, we ordered Ma Ma China carry out as they don't do dine-in or drive thru. The food was ready when they said it would be. We ordered twice cooked pork, General Tso's chicken, beef with green peppers, shrimp with broccoli, chicken with cashew nuts, spring rolls, large hot and sour soup, crab rangoon, steamed dumplings, combo fried rice, and chicken fried rice (no carrots or peas). Order was accurate, everything was fresh, very warm to hot, and delicious. The lady at point of sale was nice and polite. We'll be visiting this place again. Took pics while still in the container, nice and packed. My kids took the dumplings and chicken fried rice before I could get pics. Lots of steamed rice in separate containers! Thanks for being open...
