More like a 2.5, but when it's all you have, you sort of sacrifice your own taste and patience. As for filth, they've got plenty of that. (Dirty windows, Dirty parking lot, Goo on the drive thru speaker which is absolutely gross) The crew smokes outside, but right in the corner, so the smoke makes it's way to the drive-thru and some have severe allergies, (including myself) to smoke, so it's not the wisest of decisions. The good news is, it's all fixable. Better staff, Better attention to cleanliness, Better Pride in serving the community. In fairness, you can't blame it all on the workers, the lack of care trickles down from the top management. Not in the individual stores necessarily, but in upper management where they call the shots. They need to be mindful of their workers and possibly pay them more, to help them take pride in what they do and then make regular visits, or send secret shoppers to do the job (I'd love to do that.) of checking on things and sending a report to Sonic. I highly doubt that the food safety come a calling too often at this Sonic and if they do....who do they have working for them? Somebody is just passing them. Christine is great! She has always been really kind and makes sure you're happy with your service. And there are others too, that are great at this location, but as many that are conscientious about what they do, there are also those that are non-compliant to rules and regulations, even if they are not ignorant to those things. Their attitude needs adjusted and to be grateful that they have a job. Again, just clean up the joint. Raytown, only has a McDonald's (Which is the best chain in Raytown right now.) Mr. Goodcents (not all that great anymore), and a Wendy's that are renewing their spot and hopefully will be better once it's finished, and then there's our dirty little Sonic. :(
And why did Sonic stop serving salads? It was the only thing half-way healthy on their menu, now there's nothing other than a grilled chicken sandwich, but for the millions that have Diabetes, there are NO options. Sad. Yes, you can purchase a grilled chicken sandwich and not eat the bun, but I'm still having to pay for that bun. :( And it's a waste, and thrown away. Read more02-28-24...PM service and food were LOUSY tonight....wrong ordered delivered first.....SLOW to bring my order; wrong size drink, C O L D chili cheese dogs.....rude carhop.....NORMAL here on this shift.... MORNING shift is pleasant, accurate, and quick....Too bad that 2d shift can't / won't learn from 1st shift........ 9-9-23...same song; different verse...... 30 mins to get 2 blasts!! Thirty.....yes, THIRTY minutes......owner doesn't care....staff doesn't care....staff only argues, makes excuses.... STAY AWAY....STAY FAR FAR, AWAY.....
Remodeled. New staff.. Same as before.. lousy service.. unfriendly.. NEVER have APP ordering available...WHY?????
VERY disappointing, again. Barely warm tots, lots of ice in my drink (ordered 'no ice'), asked for ketchup got mayo. Window operator seems to not care about customers.
All of this is the norm at this location. Has been for the last year. I rarely stop by, other places actually practice Good Customer Service.
03/20/2022. This Sonic got me again.... Stopped for breakfast burritos. Eggs were not cooked, so had to wait...a long time...then we were told that there were no large burrito "shells" and would it be okay if they used the junior size "shells"? Well, this should be a really FAT burrito, huh? Full size on a.junior tortilla! NOT ....just a tiny, JUNIOR burrito for which I waited 15 minutes, and, paid FULL - size price for. Read moreThis location is pretty hit or miss. I've noticed during breakfast they are usually pretty spot on, but after lunch it becomes a toss up on what kind of service you're going to get. Last few times I've gone, the have the online order system turned off and only the drive through open. While not horrible, it kind of subtracts the two most convenient things about Sonic. I'm sure this is due to a lack of staff (when I went yesterday it looked like only 2 employees were working). Hardly the employees fault, Sonic needs to hire more staff. If they are having trouble finding people, they need to pay more. Fairly cut and dry.
They've also forgotten my son's Wacky Pack toy twice now, which immediately drops another star for me. Anyone who has a toddler knows what kind of BS you're in for when your kid doesn't get a toy with their meal. Your kid's rage only adds insult to the injury of paying your money for a kids meal and not getting the ful value for your money.
