Old Shasta Coffee Company — Restaurant in Redding

An absolute oasis! After a nightmare of a lodging situation and befuddling car trouble on the first day of our road trip, we found ourselves in Redding, CA in need of a place to regroup while we significantly revamped our plans. Looking for vegan offerings and seduced by excellent reviews, we made our way to Old Shasta Coffee Company where we found everything we needed to recharge our weary bones. Despite being quite busy - and on a Friday morning before 9am! - the staff were extremely kind and hospitable, refilling my water bottle for me as well as allowing me to get coffee in my own thermos. The vegan burrito was filling, fresh, and DELICIOUS. And we were grateful for the clean bathroom too. Was trying out local coffee shops and stumbled across this one and I have become obsessed. It’s my new favorite coffee spot and I make my fiancé go with me all the time. The baristas are always super friendly and the environment is so cozy/welcoming. I always get an iced mocha because I am fixated on them right now but my fiancé has tried their redbulls iced/blended, hot coffee, a frappe, and smoothies and has enjoyed all. We’ve also tried some pastries and breakfast and it was pretty good! They also do stamp cards so you can eventually get a free drink and I absolutely LOVE that as someone who keeps coming back....

My husband and I are on a week long trip from Seattle and through the Redwood forest. We came across Old Shasta Coffee Company for a cup on the road Coming from Seattle we have coffee expectations, Old Shasta uses café Umbria from Seattle! Excellent double short latte!! The woman helping us, not sure if she was the owner, was so wonderful!
