I was at BK tonight (7/22/24) at 9:35pm (Eureka Way, Redding, CA). My son began placing his order on a kiosk and I stated mine on the other one. I was paying with cash so I chose "Pay at the counter". The kiosk gave me the option of scanning with a device for a receipt or getting no receipt. I wanted a receipt. I went to one of the registers with my $20 out and clearly in view.
One man was washing a very large flat metal thing in the sink in the back. The other man was using his thumb nail to scrape off a particular crusty salt deposit on the fries table. The woman was in the drive-thru area/window but talking to the men.
My kiosk began to time out, so I went back and "continued" the receipt screen and immediately went back to the registers. I waved my $20 and said, "I'd like to pay for my order." The woman said something about my attitude. I believe she said that I needed to "check" my attitude, but I'm not 100% sure of that. I told her that my screen was timing out (which it started to do again). She told me to have a little patience. I said that the computer was timing out again. At this time, my son finished his order and paid by card. The woman pointed to her screens stating, "Your order just came through!" I said, "That's not my order! That's his!"
I think that's when the light bulb came on in her head that my order needed to be paid for so that it would come up on her screen and it hadn't been paid for because she didn't take my money. This didn't move her very fast, though. She got the drinks for my son's order then moved to the register. The kiosk screen completely timed out for the last time. I told her, "I'm done!" twice. With a snarky attitude, she...
Read moreWorst Burger King ever. Pulled right up to drive through order spot, other one had a lady making her order. I watched on screen what she ordered, a double Western whooper meal showed on screen. I continued to sit there, then finally she ordered a desert, sat there waiting thinking what's taking so long. Looked and she ordered a medium drink also. This took way to long. Finally someone comes on over speaker and says they'll be right back. Sat there a few more minutes. Only 3 cars in parking lot, and I was only one in drive through at that point. She came on finally and took my order. I pulled around and up to window to pay, and to my surprise the other car with lady was still there and behind someone. I sat there waiting to pull ahead for at least 5 more minutes. We're talking 15+ minutes have already past, I payed and finally got to second window. The young guy then asks me to pull around and wait out front, I'm thinking why only one car got behind me and just got there. But I stayed calm and pulled around front where I sat many more minutes. The car behind me was served and long gone. Never again will I go there. My order was two whopper juniors and 2 medium fries, no drinks. The fries were okay, the burgers looked like some kind of joke. Very small with the smallest, thinnest patties I've ever seen in my 66 years and one of the two patties looked like it had sat outside all day. I've thrown away better looking food. What's worse was the wait time and thinking these kids are getting 20.00 an hour. I hope the owner fixes these slow employee's for other people's sake, cause I'll never...
Read moreI’m not one for fast food; however, my go to place is the Burger King on Eureka Way in Redding, CA. Tonight I went and ordered a meal and when I got to the window, I told the cashier that I had forgotten to order a 10 piece chicken nugget. The young guy at the window stated that they are not allowed to add items to any order at the window. I asked when did that start, he replied that he had only been there 4 months and it has always been that way. I looked behind me and there was only one car behind me. I pulled around the building and ordered the nuggets and by the time I got the window, the car was gone. I paid and received my order in less than one minute. This time it was a different cashier, the original stood several feet back and just watched.
I had a dog in the car that I just picked up from the vet, he had just been neutered and all I wanted was to get food and go home after a 10 hour shift.
They closed the dining room some time back, due to not having enough employees to work the dining room. I completely understand and I know the hardship that we all are having to find employees.
But here is the thing, treat your customers right! Without the customers, you will not need the employees.
In today’s world, it is imperative to be nice.
Sorry to say, I will not ever go back to a Burger King, there are other places willing to take my money and...
