Cheliz has great food but they are so overpriced I don't know where to begin. My wife and I went there for breakfast today. Food was good but not as good as it once was. I had a chicken fried steak and coffee. My wife had a spinach and veggie Omelette and coffee. The bill was a few cents short of $40. We travel all over the world and the country. There are many places local that are half the price of what we ordered and just as good if not better and we get larger servings. I know prices have gone up but this is not the Ritz. The owner is nice and the staff are fine. Just way overprice for Redlands and way over price for the poorer side of town. You need to rethink prices and almost everything is pork. They changed what they serve. If you like south of the border, like eating next to a laundry mat so be it. All my friends have stopped going there and all of us can afford the price but really $20 for breakfast plus a tip. ...
Read moreYou would be a fool to not come here. Me and my family come all the time and have never had a dish that wasn't delicious. Super affordable for how much food you get. As a vegetarian, my personal favorite is the veggie burger with grilled onion and mushroom on top with a side of fried zucchini. Super thick and juicy, it's the best veggie burger I've ever had (and I've had a lot).
Omelets are LOADED with whatever you order, and their biscuits and gravy are as authentic as you can get.

Our usual waitress is always a delight to interact with, and there is seriously some good talent in the kitchen. I doubt the place will stay my...
Read moreI went down to Cheliz to grab a breakfast burrito on Sunday and I was surprised at how busy the place was. It was packed! Must be a good sign, right? Anyway, I decided I didn't want to wait for a table so I ordered the chorizo burrito to take home. Although they were clearly busy, they said it would take ten minutes and thats just about how long it took. Once I got home I really enjoyed the burrito. It was enormous and very delicious, one of the best I've eaten. It was not cheap, with tax it added up to $13, but I have to say it was worth every penny. It came with two salsa cups, the red sauce was not hot at all, and the green sauce was a little hotter. I like my food extra hot, so I added some tapatio on top. Amazing meal, I can't wait to try some of their...
