Otoko Sushi — Restaurant in Redwood City

Ramen was good but the sushi was just meh. It was definitely prepared by someone who doesnt care about food and what they are serving which is embarrassing. The sushi was slathered in a spicy mayo and it made it so it was impossible to actually taste any other flavor. It was also not mentioned on the menu description that said sauce would be added. Being in California you are required to list everything you put in a dish on the menu. So that's a liability for food poisoning or allergy issues. The mountain of sauce means they have no clue how to prepare real sushi and just want something trendy on the menu regardless if it looks bad, hides rotten fish, or is poor quality. Not to mention for the poor quality its expensive. Which is just stupid and a waste. The ramen was ok. It had no flavor in the broth and the noodles definitely weren't cooked properly. But the toppings were made good. All in all, food was very sloppy and only very semi edible, and lacked any quality. Hope this place lowers their price if that's the best they can do because its ridiculous to charge high price for poor food. Never eating at this...

Amazing atmosphere with mind-blowing service and kindness. We will definitely be back when we can, and recommend it highly. They treated us like VIPs from the moment we walked in. We got there close to their closing and they absolutely wouldn't let our experience be rushed and even went above and beyond to make it special when they heard we were celebrating a birthday--so incredibly kind. The service was top notch and the whole experience had great vibes and left us feeling better than when we got there (and very happily full). The food was excellent with so many options and very reasonably priced. The Otoko Roll is a new favorite! There were multiple delicious dessert options. We enjoyed appetizers, sushi rolls, and dessert. We didn't have drinks, but that menu had a ton of choices. We really appreciated that they had a nice outdoor dining patio option too. It is in a quiet shopping center so lots of parking. Overall a wonderful experience...

Otoko Sushi 🍣 has become our family's favorite. Located in the Nob Hill shopping center , we have enjoyed both lunch and dinner fare. My parents like to stick with their Bento Boxes with Tempura shrimp, chicken, and vegetables. My daughter is the Ramen lover and our server always remembers my daughter's order and Ramune soda. She also favors the 🔥 and they honor her request with pools of spicy broth with Udon or Ramen noodles 🍜 with the absolutely freshest ingredients (pork, soft egg that would please Gudetama, and fish cake) As for me, I love the 🍣 and rolls. Their Hamachi lovers roll combines both sushi grade yellow tail fresh and deep fried yellow tail. Their fish is so buttery, it melts on the tongue. Recently, they've added new and unique specials that are a fusion of Japanese and local favorites, including a Truffle Hamachi roll, a Warrior's roll and Giant's roll.
