There’s only 2 Chinese restaurants left in Reidsville. The other being across from Lowe’s Home Improvement. There is that Japanese restaurant and the fusion Asian food truck that is another alternative. This takeout place on Scales Street is simply disappointing. 1) That dragon lady is rude. Hands you your order. Collects your cash and darts back to the kitchen. I had to wait for her to come back to give me some sauces and when she did, she only gave me 3 packets of hot sauces, 3 soy, 3 mustard, and 3 duck. No eating utensils. No napkins. No complimentary fortune cookies. I ordered 6 lunches, 1 soup, 2 orders of chicken wings. No ‘thank you’… nothing. Customer service skills is lacking. 2) The building looks a little sketchy, but wanted to look past appearances and give this joint a try. Not much to say about the interior, you’ll have to see the clutter for yourself. Dine in area closed. 3) No one at home finished their food. Soup is basically colored water. Chicken wings were tiny, dry, and eww. Egg rolls (this item might need a sanitation/health inspection) tasted old and recooked. It was burnt brown not a crispy traditional yellow. The filling tasted like rotting pickled cabbage. Fried rice is dry, this tasted like cheap dollar store rice. I never had dollar store rice, but it probably tasted like it. Dry and crunchy. Lo mein noodles were weird and slimy. Chicken in the stir fry was rubbery, seems over boiled and used as a quick stir fry. Beef for the stir fry, no comment. Overall, I do not recommend this place. Save your money and eat at home. My mistake was taking a lazy day and wanting to eat out. How this place remains operational is a mystery to me. It is bad. ...
Read moreThis restaurant is never really busy. But there's a reason for that. The food isn't anything to rave about. Tonight, I ordered a Cashew Chicken Combo plate with Fried Rice and an Egg Roll. The Cashew Chicken serving was huge, but it contained a very large amount of a root vegetable that I couldn't identify. There was very little chicken in the serving and about 6 or 8 cashews sprinkled on top. The Rice was okay, not much flavor, but edible. The Egg Roll was small. I have noticed egg rolls getting smaller and smaller. As far as service, I called in this order. The gentleman who answered was very kind. I can not speak of the atmosphere other than just saying, there were no other customers at the restaurant when I arrived to pick up my order. It is getting hard to find a good Chinese restaurant anywhere. So, I wouldn't have a recommendation as to an alternative to...
Read moreI have been eating here for years, I mean years. The owner recognizes my voice over the phone which is always so sweet. She isn’t going to fawn over you and make you feel like a star, this is a restaurant not a validation store. The food speaks for itself you don’t need special treatment. I love LOVE their lo mein, especially the beef! The spicy chili oil is fresh and spicy. I’ve traveled across so many states, I live in Texas now and yet even there have I yet to find such delicious and fresh food. GOOD JOB dragon garden, I will be a customer for life, and there is a reason this restaurant is so successful even after many years. It tastes like home and I will continue to order every time I visit my family! 10/10!!!!! Also the food is clean, I have a very sensitive stomach and their food always makes me feel amazingly...
