Old Southwest Social House — Restaurant in Reno

Had high hopes from previous reviews. Came in around 1130 with a party of 8. Place was slow with not many people. Took so long to get any drinks. Ordered our food and watched table after table get their food before us. Server said their system won’t allow for orders more than 6 at a time so she had to put it in separate. 3 of the adults in our party got their food, I got my food, with the wrong eggs and no hash browns and it was cold. The 4 kids and my husband’s food took 25 minutes after ours to get there. Their food was cold and soggy. We complained to service and she blamed it on their POS system and their chef. 1 star is for your cook!! Whoever is cooking needs lessons. Take the cod taco off the menu they were awful. Waiter asked if I wanted it fried or grilled. Oviously either the person can't read or doesn't know what grilled is. Nothing like cold fish on a taco smoothed on coleslaw. Normal taco the meat ,fish or shrimp is layed on top. Nope won't be back. Hire more waiters! Waited an HOUR for food and when it came out it was the WORST French fries I’ve ever had. It was like styrofoam around a core of potato and then fried. Like it was left under the heat lamp but the sandwich wasn’t?? Also a bad sandwich, Cuban sauce goes IN a sandwich not poured over the top like a sloppy joe. I get that the cooks are stressed from all you can eat pasta, but have some modicum of standard or respect for yourselves when you fire something other than the special that day.
