We’ve actually visited their store a number of times in Southern California and wanted to stop by their official store just outside of Reno here. This is where they actually make the chocolate and put it in the boxes and there’s so much more of a selection.
I am meeting with some clients tomorrow morning here in the Reno area and I wanted to bring something different and something I thought everyone would enjoy. Any orders over $50 get you a nice bag with their logo on it. I think we spent $100. Got some gifts for people that were watching our cats while we were out of town and definitely picked up a few items that don’t have sugar, so I too can enjoy some of the chocolate. Overall, it was a really fun experience and the girl that works as the cashier was so friendly and it felt like a Disneyland experience. She went above and beyond to try and find us a chocolate cat but this time of year the best we could do was a...
Read moreI wish I could give 4.5 stars - I love their specialty caramel apples, especially the Rocky Road with marshmallows, chocolates, and nuts. The only reason I'm giving any stars off is because they are a little expensive, but they have recently implemented a great rewards program that will make a significant difference on how often I will drive several miles from South Reno to Northwest Reno to purchase a caramel apple for $9.95. Next time I purchase one I will add a picture. If you haven't tried Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory you...
Read moreWe visited the store the other day because we had been there a year or so before a few times and were very pleased and impressed. This experience was nothing like last years! The white chocolate candies (nut) were NOT white chocolate at all, but rather some horrible kind of melting candy that had the texture of dry toothpaste, with a taste that was no better. The milk and dark were equally disapointing, the best way to describe it is to say it tasted like it was cooked in dirty pans, with old chocolate. Awful!! Every single piece, after spending $37, as I bought most of it as a gift for my daughter!! Huge disappointment!! What a vast difference from our prior visits.... wonder what happened? Needless to say, we won't...
