Round Table Pizza — Restaurant in Reno

Let's be honest, you know what you're coming here for, and Round Table delivers exactly that. I have never had an undercooked pizza from this location and they're always fast and timely. Expect that they may be overwhelmed during game days, but so is any place that serves hot food and beer.

UPDATE 5/31/2024 Unfortunately things have slowed down here, and I have to report a serious failure in order management and expectation setting by the staff at the Mae Anne location.

It is 6:48 as I write this . Order was scheduled for pickup at 6:10. Arrived about 6:20 since extra crispy always takes longer. Was told "they're still working on it."

The server has come up to me and asked which order I was there for. Ten minutes later another server has asked me "You were waiting for WIFE'S NAME? What was on it again?"

It is a single large double play pepperoni extra crispy with heavy red sauce and 12 mild buffalo wings.

No timelines were given. No explanation of any issue. People who have arrived after me have received their orders. No offer of discount or compensation. I tipped at the time I placed the order online.

Again, I'm sure the staff are doing their best, but a manager should be all over this situation. Something is fundamentally wrong.

6:54. Another person who arrived after me and placed an in-store order has received it.

It is now 7:00. The pizza came out right, but they gave me sweet chili wings and BBQ wings instead of the buffalo. I explained I've been waiting for almost an hour from the pickup time. They took the incorrect wings and said they would "take care of it right away", which I appreciate, but no timeline was given.

7:10, I've asked the server to keep the pizza warm until the wings are ready. Nothing like hot fresh pizza put in a cardboard box and kept in a warmer.

7:14, another delivery order has gone out. The delivery driver who saw me waiting when he left with his first set of orders kindly asked if I got the wrong pizza. I told him no.

7:20 and the correct wings have been delivered along with the warmed pizza. The server very kindly asks if there's something they could get me to make up for the inconvenience. I explain that I don't know what they offer because I don't need any more food. She says she can offer me a cookie. I accept a bag of chocolate chip.

So, moral of the story is that you can get a free bag of chocolate chip cookies if your order is wrong and over an hour late.

But the pizza...

DEFINITELY needs new management/manager! This location gives Round Table a bad name.

Also, if you notice - the majority of the people who recently gave this place a 5 star review only have less than a handful of reviews ever posted on Google.

The first time we came to this location was after our move to Reno during covid. They were absolutely BEYOND RUDE and disrespectful to my five year old son. I NEVER wanted to go back. We gave them a second chance a year later since friends were in town and wanted to go there - it was decent.

Today was the last straw. Around 5:45 I phoned to place an order for pick up. The lady told me that if I signed up for texts I can get 10% off the next order. I asked her if she could cancel the order and claim the 10% on this one. After waiting ~3 minutes while she asked the manager, she returned and said they said no and there's no other coupons I could use. Right after, she asked "would you like to cancel the order?" Nothing else. She was very nice but sadly, IMO, was not given any direction other than no from the manager. When I was waiting on hold I noticed their website had 15% off my FIRST order if I signed up with my email. I told her I was able to find a coupon but yes, please cancel my order. She said "ok, have a good evening."

I am beyond shocked at their non-existent customer service skills. If this is an example of where AI could make a huge difference, it would be a perfect one.

Never, would I ever recommend this...

Okay... first off, I am writting this as quickly as possible because I have seemingly launched myself into a damn food coma... As I said on my check-in... I have NEVER been let down by a RTP location... This falls directly in that catagory.... One word... Fantastic....

The delivery was a full 40 minutes ahead of projection... Mind you i ordered at orbout 5 pm on a Saturday... The delivery driver was a joy.. courteous, happy and well... Sierra Hotel.

After reading the reviews... I will now formally poo poo all marks below 4-Stars....

I felt like a skinny crust slightly well done on a Ulti-Meat Pie... Gooooood Lord... Just because I was hungry from the 7-hour drive into Reno today... (see, I drive and don't eat much IOT make good time) Any hew, I was hungry but didn't over do it... Med Pie, and some Garlic Parm Twists...

Again... Good Lord... Best think I now have in my mind is the fact that the left overs are in my fridge and will be consumed in part for BFAST and likely dinner tomorrow.. Yup... That damn good.... The only reason they won't be lunch is that I will not be at my hotel at that time... LOL.

Folks, bottom line... Damn good chow... would definately order from this location again... Way to go RTP... You have NEVER Let me...
