Decided to try a new coffee spot, one everyone talks about. Here we are. Walden's when you first walk up it's so cute. There's seating outside, with umbrellas. The seating inside is comfortable. The sound is kind of different because the kitchen is right there with you so it might be a little loud once it's packed in there. The customer service was good. The order taker read back the order. He was very nice. Food came pretty fast. As for the drinks. The espresso was really good, it actually worked too. Their fresh squeezed OJ was so good. There's pulp but not overwhelming. The dirty pumpkin spice Chai latte I got was off the hook. I've been drinking on it all day. I don't want it to be gone. Oh gosh. The fooooood.! The MacWaldens breakfast sandwich, might be top 3 breakfast sandwiches for me right now. The sausage patty is seasoned to the tee, the egg is cooked perfect, just the right amount of overhard, and with the sharp cheddar, give me moreeee. The bacon burrito, "make it super", was big. Flavors were great. The way the food was stack in the food tho made it hard to get the right bite with all the things. It didn't fall apart. Definitely worth it tho. Overall, I'd be back and recommend to any of the coffee lovers out there. Sincerely.

Walden’s Coffeehouse is a delightful spot that has quickly become one of my go-to for breakfast and coffee in Reno. The beautiful outdoor seating area is perfect for enjoying a sunny morning with a cup of their locally roasted coffee. The inside seating is cozy and inviting, though it can get a bit loud during peak hours – a testament to its popularity! Their breakfast menu is fantastic, with options like the breakfast burrito and avocado toast that are both delicious and satisfying. The coffee is top-notch, and you can tell they take pride in serving high-quality brews. The staff is always friendly and attentive, making each visit a pleasant experience. Shout out to the best barista, Theresa! 💫 Whether you’re looking for a quiet spot to enjoy your morning or a lively place to catch up with friends, Walden’s has something for everyone. Highly recommend!

I ordered the buttermilk pancakes and the carne eggs, pretty pricy but i was hopeful. The menu offers "strawberries and whipped cream" as an addition to the pancakes. They were out of strawberries so they offered blueberries. When the dish came out (not pictured) it was blueberry pancakes with a lil bit of pancake. The batter was not fully cooked and i did both get any whipped cream. I brought it back because i wanted buttermilk pancakes, not blueberry. The staff were very understanding and confused why the order came out that way. They brought out a new dish (pictured) once again it was not fully cooked 🙄. Also the carne eggs were mediocre at best. The sausage tasted like a well done beef patty and the potatoes were over salted. For the price, id recommend spending ~$2-$3 more for Perenn! Not worth the money here.

Hadn’t been here in a while. Previously very nice place to grab a coffee or bite. Won’t be coming back. The young lady who took my order was sour and scowling. I ordered a scone & coffee. Was told the scones which I viewed in their display case covered in Saran Wrap “are put away now” - I said oh I saw them in the display case. More sour look though rang My order up with scone. The coffee maker a different young lady was very pleasant when she gave me my order. My scone was in big styrofoam container coffee in disposable cup. I sat for a few minutes eating my scone sipping coffee when the sour young lady started very loudly banging and exaggeratedly moving chairs closer to the tables without customers So I had made the unknowing mistake of arriving right before closing which I guess in Walden’s current Biz model means just be rude so people will leave ASAP. Lots of missed courteous opportunities. Like when I ordered letting me know they would b closing in 15-20min so my food would be served as takeout so I wouldn’t feel rushed when I ate it - or… we are closing in 15 minutes so we can only offer drinks - if your open till 3pm then serve people courteously till 3pm and inform them nicely at the register with a comment - can I get you anything else as we are serving only till 3 and will b closing the register. Like I said I hadn’t been here for a while & was treated very well a few years ago- supported Walden’s even way back when they opened a store in VC was a friend of one of the family members. I won’t b back & can’t...

I've been going to this locally owned coffeehouse in town for years. Food is good, made from scratch on the line. The Breakfast Burrito is a known favorite in town. It's relatively expensive. At least the owners are pretty friendly and cool. I definitely recommend trying the food, but I would still recommend other places at this price range with better service. I'll get to that.

I wouldn't say this is the best coffee in town or even close to the other larger chains. There are no options for cermaic mugs anymore. For iced drinks, the baristas pour the hot espresso shots first into PLASTIC cups, releasing who's knows how many micro plastics... It's a small company, so they use the industry standard for flavors and nothing special on the drink menu. The chai powder is artificial. So yea, this is not a very good coffeehouse and more of a hispanic and Italian restaurant.

Also don't don't get me started on the service. No hostes, no table busser, and long lines when it's busy. So you have to seat yourself, come up to order, and clean your own table, yet they expect us to tip and likely pay their employees minimum wage. I get that employment wages are hard for smaller businesses, especially during these times, but it seems like this place hasn't really changed for the better in the last 5 years. The staff are really nice and charming, tho. But constantly nag customers for 5 star reviews for a free drink even if it's your first time. Its almost as if they aren't trained on sales at all. Thanks for reading my...

We had THE BEST EXPERIENCE at Walden's this past week. My wife and I were meeting a friend to get some work done, and it was the first time we have left the house to work since our son was born. We had childcare all arranged for the day so needless to say, we were excited to get some work done outside of the cave we called our in home office. We were already running late, and when we arrived at Walden's we walked in and it was packed. Things seemed to be moving fast, but like I mentioned we were already late so we decided it would be best to just head out and get something a little quicker somewhere else. As we were leaving, a man stopped us who happened to be the owner (Michael I believe his name was) and asked if everything was okay. He noticed we came in and then walked out without anything. He asked if we were in a rush and we said yes, and without even knowing our story of the day he asked how much time we had. We said about 10 minutes tops, and he said he will make it happen. He went and put the order into the kitchen for us, and brought us to a separate register and checked us out. Sure enough the food was done lightning fast and was AMAZING! We are never the people to ask for special treatment, and Michael just really went above and beyond for us. In today's day and age a good customer service experience is hard to come by. I was truly impressed with an taken back by the generosity we experienced, and I can confidently say that Walden's Coffeehouse has a few customers for life now! Thank you...
