Singh's Roti Shop 2 — Restaurant in Revere

When I first found out that Singh’s Roti shop was going to open in Revere I was excited cause it’s closer to me than the Dorchester location.

My first visit was amazing: goat roti with chickpeas and potatoes, so flavorful and a slight kick no need for pepper sauce. I had the salt fish patty which was different but sooooo good and I had a beef patty which was one of the best I’ve ever had. My 2nd visit, I ordered a dinner plate for my co worker: oxtail, rice and beans and veggies and cabbage. She loved it, flavorful and good amount and I got her a beef patty and salt fish patty. The later she shared with her mom. She was impressed.

My 3rd visit, I ordered the goat roti but I forgot to add my chickpeas and potato but it had potato so no worries. I have to say the goat was tough and there were just pieces of fat and grissle, unlike my first visit where it was so tender and I got all meat. I also ordered the samosas which were brilliant and the dipping sauce was equally amazing, perfect compliment. And I had a beef patty which is always consistent and good.

Going forward, I would say to the staff, possibly stew down the goat a little more and please don’t just chop everything up and throw in pile, take out the fatty unedible pieces. However I don’t know if they have manpower to go through and take out the bad pieces of meat. Lastly, keep up the good work…I look forward to...

I ordered a shrimp Doubles which was so flavorful and full of shrimp. The dough was fluffy and perfect. Also got a beef patty with coco bread it was steaming hot. The bread was warm and slightly sweet. The beef was seasoned so well. For my main I got the oxtail and goat dinner combo for my sides I picked cabbage and sweet plantains and it comes with rice and beans I believe . The goat was tender and spicy beautiful curry flavor throughout. The oxtail pieces were very large and meaty. They were also tender and this meal I ate from twice. Came all the way from London (straight from the airport) for Singh's Roti and was NOT disappointed. True Trini style. Best surprise was the doubles on the menu.
