Cold Stone Creamery — Restaurant in Rexburg

Alright so I absolutely love Cold Stone's ice cream, so I don't feel like I can rate anything lower than a 3. However, this location needs some work. My husband and I went to get some ice cream on a date a couple of weeks ago and it was probably the most disappointing experience I've had at Coldstone. The service was incredibly slow. We got there when there was just two couples in front of us. One almost done being served. Before we even got to order, the line grew pretty long, and it didn't happen all at once. The workers were going extremely slow and we could hear other workers just chatting in the back while one girl (eventually 2) did everything. It took us probably 30 minutes. To get our ice cream, which is insane when you enter the store pretty much 2nd in line.

We were also both super disappointed when we ordered our gotta have it and the girl didn't scoop all of the ice cream into our cup. I understand there are probably rules about portions and not giving too much, but if they're just going to throw away the extra, why not just include it? I wouldn't have even minded if they asked me to pay a few cents for another cup to hold the extra or something, idk. It just really shows how little you value the customer experience when you'd rather throw away food rather than give it to your customer. Especially after the wait was so crazy long. Oh, how my heart swells with unabashed adoration for the wondrous establishment known as Cold Stone Creamery! This veritable temple of frozen delight consistently presents an array of flavors so magnificent that it dances upon the olfactory senses and tickles the taste buds into ecstasy! Just yesterday, in the grand celebration of the anniversary of my birth, I ventured forth into the realm of ice cream cake, and my oh my, what a luscious experience it was! The cake, a delightful confection, practically melted in my mouth like dreams upon waking, boasting a symphony of textures so perfectly orchestrated that even the finest composers would weep with envy. Now, I must admit that the prices do reach dizzying heights compared to some other less illustrious establishments, yet one must never forget that one is investing not merely in frozen dairy but in an exquisite quality that cannot be bought at the corner gas station; this, dear friends, is no flimsy concoction of air masquerading as ice cream! A resounding 10 out of 10, I shall emphatically endorse this...

It took 30 minutes for my order to be even placed I had two guys in front of me and the three employees were standing around chatting with them while I was patiently waiting in line. on top of that the guy that was working there was very rude and immature. he also lied to a customer over the phone about closing times right in front of me and when a coworker corrected him he acknowledged the lie and went on with it without correcting himself to the customer. Top that off when he came back to finish my order he had forgotten what I ordered. He also complained in front of me about having to go in the back and get some more chocolate ice cream when he didn't have enough in the front for my order. another thing was that he made too much of one of my ice cream flavors and toppings I wanted and put the extra in a small cup and proceeded to eat it in front of me. Overall I had a very bad experience at 8pm 3-21-20. I don't think they will be expecting me to come back...
