While it seemed the Mac Shack went the way of shrinkflation the truth is a smidge more nuanced than that. They have ran into issues sourcing their original containers (RIP I'll miss them), they also have been busy training new hires who haven't quite learned the ways of a Mac and Cheese lover like I and the original crew.

However, the original crew are amazing, they truly have a passion and want to share it with everyone, read the review response below I took them up on the offer to stop in and check out the sizes, they also posted an amazing video on their Facebook page to show the sizes are the same (Scott needs to make his way to Hollywood).

I met Scott and he showed how they are supposed to have the containers filled, even gave me one of the old containers (I'll cherish it for the rest of my tarriff days). He was super cool and understanding, explained the new guys didn't quite have the system down but said if we ever get half sizes or smaller portions just let them know and they'll fix it. My og review stands, but what stands out more is the amazing team at Mac Shack who were quick to address concerns and were super friendly about it.

Absolutely Atrocious Don’t Be Fooled by Fake Reviews

I don’t write reviews often, but my experience at The Mac Shack was so unbelievably bad, I feel obligated to warn others.

First of all, the food was a disaster. Bland doesn’t even begin to cover it no seasoning whatsoever. I ordered their signature mac and cheese expecting something rich, creamy, or at the very least, edible. Instead, I got a sad, runny mess with zero cheese flavor. How you mess up mac and cheese a comfort food staple is beyond me. It was so gross I ended up throwing it away after two bites. That’s money in the trash.

As for the interior, it looked like someone gave a 5-year-old a budget and said “build your dream restaurant.” It’s cheap, thrown together, and feels more like a glorified lemonade stand than an actual eatery. There’s no atmosphere, no thought, and certainly no charm.

The worst part? I came here because of the reviews. But after my visit, I’m convinced they’re fake or paid for, because they do not reflect reality in any way.

Bottom line: This was the worst food experience I’ve had in years. Save your appetite and your money go literally...

i like the buffalo chicken mac, but i don't think it is that great unless if it is hot and fresh. i am a slow eater and i feel like the last half of the bowl was a weird texture and it even tasted a little funny. i also have tried this mac reheated as leftovers, and i personally don't think it's very leftover/reheated-friendly. overall i would say the experience is alright! i have had food here 3 times now and each time it was the same taste, same portions, and same experience, so they are super consistent which is good! i only ever see the same one guy working, and he needs a raise haha! he's great and hard working! overall, its super yummy when it is...
