We ordered the chicken tenders. Keep in mind this is a food counter inside a gas station so we aren't expecting 5 star cuisine. We've had their regular fried chicken before but this time opted for the tenders. When we got home 10 mins later we realized that "tender" had nothing to do with the honey golden strips of dense batter 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick surrounding sliced chicken perhaps 1/8 or a little over in thickness. Dont let their thin size fool you. They must be cut or torn in half. The human jaw is incapable of biting these ... toughers" in half. To eat you must bite off small nibbles and chew for minutes. In fact how long it was taking to chew up my first bite was astonishing. Of course they weren't interested in an exchange of the inedible...
