I walked into this place on 9/25/23 between 8:15-8:30 pm CST time frame to get a drink with a friend. The pretentious bartender(I believe her name is Missy) stated they cannot serve us drinks and presumed we were already under the influence which was not the case. The bartender was “nice” but spoke a little too loudly as if she was purposely trying to embarrass me was a little off putting as well…her tone originally was nice/nasty, passive aggressive and her attempt to be authoritative stating the laws as if I didn’t already know them was hilarious by the way. And honestly due to her tone, I thought law enforcement were gonna be called on me eventually due to the “manager” assuming I wasn’t sober when I came in. I’ve already contacted corporate and reported the incident that occurred and whomever I spoke with agreed the way that was handled was unprofessional and inappropriate. Simply put, the incident was anxiety inducing as a disabled veteran. The entire incident turned me off so much, my friend and I walked out of that establishment. I refuse to spend my money in a place where that kind of treatment is appropriate! The manager and the bartender has to be incompetent to handle the situation the way it was handled. I am also aware that franchises have the right to make certain rules for their establishment and while I respect that, I would like to see a standard operating procedure guideline that states that. I have a right to view that as a public citizen.
Additionally, if I were a whïte woman, that incident would have NEVER occurred. Nobody can gaslight me or say “I’m playing the race card” to prove otherwise. Therefore, I’m in the process of seeking legal counsel to see what my options are if the general manager and/or corporate isn’t able to rectify this situation appropriately. Ultimately I felt targeted and embarrassed. Someone needs to be held...
Read moreWhat an all around disappointing dinner experience for nearly $85 for a party of three two adults and a 5 year old child.
The kid's pizza was bust served with box pizza and yogurt uninviting, boarding and lack luster pizza presentation with too little toppings served on boxed microwave pizza dough.
Adult meals were not much better. Party one had AB'S limited-time New Orleans steak dinner that was disappointing in presentation and quality similar to party's two shrimp and chicken limited-time meal. Both meals were under whelming served with just boxed mashed potatoes with no toppings or a veggie offering.
The chicken and shrimp meal was disappointing served with tough grilled chicken and baby sized shrimp that was supposed to be served on a bed of mushroom and onion gravy. Hard to find any mushrooms amongst the mostly grilled onions.
Ordered one cocktail a specialty blue margarita at the start of table service that was delivered during the middle of the meal that tasted like a 7-11 surlppie with no evidence of alcohol present.
The server was pleasant but unfamiliar with AB's advertised meal specials. Had to show the server on phone advertised via location's website.
Table napkins were non existent during meal service and were not offered additionally when requested only small cocktail napkins.
Could go on about the dining experience at the AB's location in Richardson, Texas but suffice to say that overall dinning experience failed to meet any basic expectation of an acceptable dinner meal experience at a reasonable value, with over cost to value, lack of attention to meal preparation and presentation from the kitchen to table service.
Will not be returning to this location that was unusually quiet for a Friday...
Read moreI took my daughter here today just to celebrate her 37th birthday and to just catch up with her! We were greeted pleasantly when we first arrived and seated very quickly. Our server was a wonderful young lady named Daemonique. She introduced herself as our server, asked for our drink choices, and gave us our menus to look over for our food selections. I must say that Daemonique was cheerful and she was always smiling and pleasant each time she came back to our table! My daughter and I both decided we weren't really hungry, so we opted to each just get one of the delicious desserts. Neither one of us had ever tried desserts here, so we asked Daemonique what would she recommend and she said the Triple Chocolate Melt one was absolutely delicious, so tried that one. My daughter doesn't like chocolate cake, so Daemonique suggested a Pecan Blonde dessert and described in detail, just what it was, and my daughter ordered that one! Daemonique, checked on us periodically to see if we were enjoying ourselves and the desserts, which we definitely were! 😁 She was even a sweetheart, and took several photos of the two of us to commemorate this day! When she bought the checked, I noticed that they had given my daughter her dessert free for her birthday! Even though we didn't spend much this visit, Daemonique's great customer service to us, never waivered! I must say that it's so hard these days to get "good", let alone "great" customer service, but Daemonique "NAILED IT PERFECTLY!" This was my first time ever dining at this particular Applebee's location, but my family will be returning for future visits, and hopefully we'll have Daemonique and her "wonderful smile," as our...
