Second visit and it was just as fantastic as the first. Got seats for 9 people (adults and kids) around 930 PM on a Sunday night. Friendly and respectful staff, and a clean and halal restaurant.
We ordered lemon pepper and buffalo wings, fried chicken, Supreme pizza, naan, sugar cane juice, and sweet chai.
Wings: As wings should be - hot, fresh, and crispy. I particularly enjoyed the lemon pepper wings. They come with ranch on the side, and hot sauce is available on each table. I don't think I've had better lemon pepper or buffalo wings in Dallas.
Fried Chicken: hot and fresh, made-to-order, and satisfying.
Note: the fried chicken only comes in dark meat (thigh and leg pieces). The fries were also crispy and the biscuits were flaky.
Sugar Cane Juice: They added ginger to it per our request. It was freshly juiced and a good size. Juices are "buy 1, get 2nd 50% off".
Supreme Pizza: This pizza is not like that of a chain-restaurant's or made in a coal-oven one. This pizza is similar to Pakistani/Indian pizza. With that in mind, it exceeded expectations because it was flavorful and balanced. The portion of ingredients (protein and veggies, both) was generous. It was also made-to-order and brought to the table when it was hot. It had a thin and crispy base and had a good cheese-pullability.
Chai: cooked and does not have any spices, but good ol' plain chai. I'd definitely order this again as well.
They also have prayer rugs in the "meat shop" portion of the restaurant.
My family liked this place, as did I. We...
Read moreI went here wanting to try Pakastani food for the first time. I ordered the Chicken Kahir and Cheese pizza
PROS:Food was very fresh and absolutely delicious
Chicken Kahir was AWESOME! It had the perfect amount of spice. Chicken was extremly tender and had alot of meat. I ordered rice with it and the rice was cooked to perfection.
Cheese pizza was great. Very cheesy and thick soft breading like I like
Nice looking restraunt inside
CONS: OK so this part is where I have to be completely honest. I wasn't a fan of how I was being stared down by one of the cashiers there. It was giving YOU DONT BELONG HERE. It actually made me very uncomfortable. When it was time for me to pay and I was looking for my card to pay. The cashier muttered ARE YOU PAYING WITH EBT?? with a look of disgust on his face. I'm assuming they don't take EBT seeing as it was a restraunt but I definelty felt like this was targeted to my skin color which is sad seeing as they are minorities as well so I thought they were better then to stereotype off of someone's skin color. I didn't see him ask any other customers that. I don't think he knows I heard him bc when I asked him what he said he said neevermind.
There was another host there that redeemed him and was very nice and pleasant So I appreciate that.
Over all. That interaction alone made me consider rather to send other people there or going back myself. bc the food was great but I don't want any one else to go there and be...
Read moreI've been a fan since my first visit last summer. My November visit was especially wonderful - the owner, Ali entertained me with stories and indulged my questions about a candy I wasn't familiar with. The conversation kept me wanting to talk well after my food was ready - I just wasn't ready to end a good convo. When I finally walked outside I saw a large accident at the intersection I'd have been driving on had I left when the food was ready 10 minutes before.
Many thanks to Ali's inviting, warm hospitality for feeding my spirit & helping protect me that night.
In regards to the food & service; pizza has always been made to order - I order here not to rush or make others rush, but to enjoy myself and my family. It's always about 20 mins, which gives me time to find matching socks & drive safely haha
The meat lovers pizza has had the right ratio of sauce (not too much) cheese, and the crust is very balanced - not bready nor crispy cracker thin crust.
Each time I've ordered the salads here I've been without a single criticism. Most salads that I haven't personally made have something I need to pick out but these salads have been the freshest, and most balanced with toppings that I've ever ordered at a restaurant. Ever.
Their lasagna? Made me cry because it reminded me of my grandma's skilled cooking.
Also their bottled drinks have a lot of variety - different juices,...
