Read moreI love this coffee shop but no matter what time I get there on the weekends they are ALWAYS sold out of any food item I want. They never have enough of anything on hand. It seems like whoever the person is who does the ordering/purchasing is not taking any current demand data or customer data into account. This is the only place where I have experienced this again and again. It's odd. The food portions are extremely small. I would recommend you do not come really hungry. The employees here are polite but not knowledgeable. There is usually a trio of different teenage girls "working" and any time I ask even a simple question it's blank stares. The owner/manager inevitably has to be brought over to answer. They've made me the wrong drink multiple times (iced when I ordered hot or vice versa) and instead of offering the customer the drink, which typically happens at any coffee place I have been to, they'll drink it. They spend a lot of time behind the counter giggling with one another. Despite all the above I do love this cafe and love supporting small businesses and I will continue to be a customer. They have delicious specialty drinks here from time to time. I wish they had them on the menu more often. As others have said, the decor and ambiance here is nice and all and all it's a great place to chat and hang out with...
Read moreI wanted to update my review seeing as I have moved away and won't be able to make this the daily stop it was for so so long. Eiland Coffee has an incredible amount of memories for me in so many stages of my life, it was always for me this peaceful sanctuary that I could sit and read and write for hours at a time feeling just at home as I would be in my own home. I have seen this place grow quite a lot, and I have met a lot of people here and have drank countless cortado and sparkling waters as I spent hours pulling yet another book out of my backpack and set out another adventure of thought and literature. I really love this place and the baristas here at this point probably know who I am pretty well lol and if they ever read this review I wanna say you guys are really great and always make the experience better and I really have appreciated you all every day i'd come in. I have to say as overused as the line is, this is really the best place to get coffee in Texas and honestly the most painful part of moving away is not being able to come in everyday. Great coffee and even better people, this is a...
