Em's Subs — Restaurant in Richland Township

Once again they did not get my order correct. I ordered online using their website. I ordered a plain cheese steak with no vegetables or the fried onions and peppers. They put the peppers and onions on it. When I called up to say they messed up I got told that was the way I ordered it. I explained to the lady that I did not checked the box for the peppers and onions. She then said that they read it wrong. Bring it back and we will make you a new one. I informed her that I live 20 mins away and that I would not be coming back to get a remade sub because it it was to far out of my way do to gas prices. I would like to just get a free sub the next time I order. She informed me that they don’t do that. I said well it is a $20.00 sub that no one will eat and that was half of my family’s meal. I asked to Just be refunded. She said she can’t do that either cause she didn’t know how. She then said she will have to talk to the manager tomorrow and see what to do. They will call me tomorrow. So half my family is not eating what we ordered do to their staff “ not reading it right” and out $20.00. This is not the first time this is happened. I cannot believe I am giving Em's a 2 star review, because I love their food but I am so dissatisfied with my orders two times in a row. My mom and I ordered a full ham sub, a 6in tuna, and a 6in, seafood. Our order was all WRONG! We ordered heavy lettuce on all the subs and we were lucky to see any lettuce! The ham sub had hardly any lettuce and double meat, which WE DID NOT ORDER! There was so much meat that it ruined the sub and my family refused to eat it! My seafood tasted good but it had NO PROVOLONE which I ordered and a few pieces of lettuce! My mom's tuna, the same way no lettuce, but the tuna salad tasted good otherwise. I am so irritated when a customer OFFERS to pay extra for lettuce because that's how we enjoy our subs, we are willing to pay extra. I am so agitated that our orders got screwed up so badly in 2 weeks I won't give them a 3rd chance. I guess the joke is on my parent's who are both 74. My Dad is fighting his 2nd time of luekemia and could finally eat and wanted a ham sub. Like I added Em's food is great but when our orders are constantly messed up, I lose faith in a buisness. So...

There are a few Em's located around the Johnstown area but in my opinion the one on scalp ave. in Richland is the best! They are famous in the fact that their subs have traveled to all ends of our great country. I for one have taken them to Va. I don't much care for "soggy sub" so I asked if they would wrap the bread separately, take the meat and cheese and also wrap separately then the rest could all go together. No one blinked an eye at my request. When I reached my destination I was pleasantly surprised to see that every item was individually wrapped and they even added a note as to how they assemble it! That was many years ago and I've been back in J-town for quite some time. Their subs were worth moving back to town! They offer a variety of food both hot and cold and have daily specials. Plenty of parking and easily accessible. If you're getting it to go I recommend phoning your order in- the temptation of their baked goods WILL get ya...
