Fish and chips were excellent. The fish was tender and seemed of good quality; flaky and stark white cod. The coating was crispy, relatively thin and didn't overwhelm the taste of the fish with grease. The chips were crinkle fries and were well cooked. I give the fish and chips a 5 out of 5.
The clam chowder was interesting. A little different than most varieties I have had. It was very thick...almost like a stew. The flavor was pretty good (Worcestershire in there?) but my personal preference was it needed a little bit of milk or cream. That said, it definitely was hearty. Lots of clams and potatoes. I give it a 4 of 5.
The service was good. The lady who took our order was friendly. Their were two picnic tables to eat at. The weather was good for eating outside but I expect most days we would just eat in the car.
Overall I give a 5.
