One of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had at a Starbucks. I placed a mobile order and went to pick it up around 6 PM on May 15th not only was I completely ignored when I arrived, but the staff didn’t even bother to acknowledge me. They looked straight at me, said nothing, and continued doing whatever they were doing as if I wasn’t there. I had to basically force myself into their space just to be noticed, and when I asked about my order, the employee didn’t even respond to me. She turned to her coworker, whispered something, then pointed and said coldly, “It’s over there.” No greeting, no explanation, no “thank you” just pure laziness and attitude. To make things worse, the drinks were terrible. They were excessively sweet, didn’t taste right, and were poorly made. Not a single one was done correctly. This was my first time visiting this new location since it opened. I live in the area and normally go to the Starbucks inside Safeway, but it was already closed at that hour so I decided to give this one a try. What a huge disappointment. Now I understand why the place was empty. I’ve owned a food business for many years, and I know what it means to treat customers with care and provide exceptional service. When requesting an addition to my drink and asking for double of that addition, she made the condescending comment, “well, it doesn’t come with that, 0+0=0.” I order this drink a lot, so I’m very aware it doesn’t come with it—I was asking her to add to the drink (and yes I know it costs extra). Yeah, that was unnecessary. I was ready to give her a piece of my mind, but didn’t want her spitting in my drink (wouldn’t have put it past her)! That rudeness is unnecessary. It looks like, after reading the reviews, there’s been similar issues of staff being rude. The other staff were fine, it was just the lady who took our order. Do better Starbucks!
