Goodfellas Diner — Restaurant in Richmond Heights

I have become a fan of goodfellas it’s a nice atmosphere to drink and get bar bites and beyond. Prices are very good and wait staff has always been polite. I did have one issue where I waited about an hour and a half. The owner or manager, a nice looking bald guy overheard me on the phone saying I had been waiting a hour and a half. I was being patient but he did imply I was exaggerating on my wait time even tho I wasn’t not even talking to him as I was on the phone. After he looked into my order come to find out it never went to the Bck to the cook in the system. Things happen so I wasn’t to upset I just wish he would have acknowledged the mistake especially after kind of accusing me of lying about my wait time. I end up switching my order from steak to wings thinking it would could out quicker it took another 45 mins as other patrons started to shuffle in. I didn’t get any kind of apology or comp to meal. I was not looking for anything free but at least a I apologize from the owner would have sufficed. He mad the statement of. I left out at 7 and didn’t see you implying I had not been waiting. When in reality I was. There was a point in time the waitress did say let me check on your food but assume she never did because that mistake would have been discovered sooner if she did. I think she may have been highly but she did apologize at least. But all in all my meal took 2:15 mins to come out got in at :7:30 didn’t get food to 9:45pm. It wasn’t busy cuz it’s was a snow storm. I was looking for acknowledgment and a rush on my order nothing free but I feel as ego played a part in how that went down and it left a bad taste in my mouth. I go about 3...

I wanted to start by saying the bartender was amazing and felt very bad about our first time experience at this restaurant. She took accountability for things that were not her fault and was nothing but kind and accommodating to us. However, we will not be back. The food is not very good at all and we had to have it taken off the bill. It is apparently common knowledge that the only time the food is good at this location is after 5:30pm when the head chef is working. The other chef is not the same skill level and it shows in the quality of the food.

I ordered a medium burger and received an overcooked patty with missing toppings. I tried a bite and the meat was also critically under seasoned. The fries were just okay and the wings tasted like the meat may have been bad. The breading was not very good at all but if the chicken was better prepared then sauce would have brought it all together, the sauce was cool. The most enjoyable thing I had here was a can of soda. My husband got the shrimp po boy and said it was okay but ultimately was not impressed. This was a really disappointing experience and it was sad to hear how much the patrons missed how things used to be. They had great memories of the restaurant but the realities...

We LOVED the food. Amazing fried pickles, burgers with the most delicious beef and and light, brioche bun. However, we were greeted by the most hostile, glaring hostess or server. She was rhe most unbelievably and outwardly rude employee we’ve encountered in a long time. She did not want to tell us our options for a beverage, walked past our booth with snarling looks and just a horrible demeanor. Luckily we had a different server after our beverages were slammed in front of us. She was efficient and pleasant. The first hostess or whomever spoke about us in Spanish,which I am fluent and heard every word. We were traveling through the area and stopped by because we like to try Guy Fieri showcased restaurants throughout the US. The damage done by the first interaction tainted the experience.
